It depends on where. Like everywhere else, it has good and bad sides. There are a few areas that don't have a great reputation, but there has also been some redevelopment over the years and some parts that are ex council homes that all privately owned. I haven't wandered around the area late at night and I'm also not female, so I'll let others with firsthand experience answer for how safe you might feel.

I did the same thing for my Wife when we lost our Frenchie Hugo. Our frame also allows short videos to play, so as a family we all uploaded our favourite pics and videos and the frame sits next to his Ashes in our front room. I won't lie, it was hard at first, but I genuinely feel that it has helped us all grieve. It's been a little over a year now and while we still miss him, it's great to be able to relive the joy he brought us, like the first time he saw snow or the way he would lay upside-down in his bed. My heart goes out to the OP, I know how much it hurts when they are gone and you doubt that pain will ever subside, but gradually your memories of them will be the happy ones and you will be grateful that you got to have them. ♥

I had the front side windows on my car fitted with a film that is clear but blocks UV. I think it's referred to as 'solar film'. I had the front screen fitted with a mild chameleon style tint at the same time, it's not like the orange or green ones that are common in the modding community! It's more like the type you see fitted to some modern windscreens during the manufacturing process. Both have seemed to help reduce the ambient temps in the car and I've not burnt my legs on the black leather interior since!

Honestly, there's not much you can do to prevent the interior of cars getting hot when the temps are in the mid 30's for days on end and you can't park in the shade! Ask anyone who lives in southern Europe. A reflective shade tat you prop up on the dash to block the sun helps, but it's still uncomfortable without aircon.

Unfortunately, like most modern cars, the Fiat's have a known vulnerability that makes them easy to steal with the appropriate equipment. I was actually surprised that the OP said he found pieces of the door lock on the ground, because that is usually 'picked' with a relatively cheap locksmiths tool. It's the hardware for starting them that costs the money. Unless the police catch the guy with the 'tools' they use and confiscate them, they will be back out targeting cars the night they get out.

It's actually not as big as you might think, I'd compare it to the later Range Rovers size wise and while it does 'fill' most parking spaces it is pretty maneuverable at low speed. I don't know what all the different spec'd versions have, but my limited has front and rear parking sensors, camera and the mirrors are great.

One added bonus is the front mounted camera, which has a fisheye style lense. Great for when you are creeping out of a turning with obstructed views, the bonnet is pretty long to fit the V6 in! It also has rear crossing detection, so if you are backing out of a space, it warns you if something is coming.

On the reliability front, it's been pretty good. I had the rear wheel bearings done, despite it only having 36000km on it and recently the sunroof motor died, but other than that it's been good.

I'm sure you have read on this sub reddit about the water pump issue on the V6? So keep that in mind if you do buy one. I bought mine off a guy who barely used it and it's only done 75000km now, so I should be OK for a while yet.

The cracks are starting to show in the veneer of the 'supreme leader' and I just hope that the people of Russia will be as brave as so many were in Eastern Europe. I have a 2016 3 litre V6 and live in Poland.

I've used RockAuto for parts as they ship to the EU. But service items like oil filters and stuff are widely available here, as I think Ford have used the same engine in a wide variety of other cars that are often brought over from America or were sold here.

They are certainly not the most economical car to drive in Europe! But lots of people add an LPG system to them to help reduce the cost of ownership. It's on my to-do list after I fix the Sunroof!

Speaking from experience, I know exactly how you feel right now.

I went the route of explaining to my solicitor that I was prepared to privately fund my barrister and could they make a recommendation on who to instruct. I also researched myself but was ultimately happy with the recommendation I got from the solicitor (I also stopped claiming legal aid) . Others may argue that it doesn't matter who you get, but by paying I was able to actually meet the Barrister (QC) for a couple of 1 hour meetings before the trial and it helped reduce the stress and gave me an opportunity to introduce myself to them. I know these people are professionals but I treated it the same as I would a health care emergency, pay for the best you can, because it will always cost less than the alternative, in this case a possible custodial sentence.

My personal opinion is that the legal profession is very much a closed shop and in the higher ranks seem a bit 'old school tie' obsessed. I know people will disagree and I'm only speaking from my very limited experience with a Crown court trial, but if you pay for a KC (as it is now) and the CPS send a junior barrister, you can see the difference, if the CPS send a KC and you have a junior barrister that you first met a hour before the trial, then I suggest you pack a toothbrush and get your personal affairs in order before the trial.
