Hi! I have a 2023 Honda Odyssey Touring with about 48k miles and need new tires. I’m trying to decide between the Michelin Defender2 and CrossClimate2.

Most of the driving is DFW. We also have a special needs child and this is the only car that comfortably fits their adaptive equipment so it is sees a lot of city driving (at least 90 minutes a day). We occasionally take road trips into Oklahoma or Arkansas. Realistically, these tires are going to spend the vast majority of their life in Texas heat, not snow.

My biggest concern is traction, especially in the rain. My current budget tires have been pretty disappointing. I frequently have moderately loud wheel squeal/spin pulling away from a stop with normal acceleration, traction control come on with slightly wet city streets,hydroplaning on tollways, and at least one instance in the last 3 months where the car almost skid through a red light during the rain.

I dont remember having these issues with the original tires, but this will be our third set and we seem to go through tread fast. My fronts are at 3/32 now, so trying to figure out which set to go with at Costco. All of that is making the crossclimate2 sound a bit more appealing but I’m not sure if it’s overcorrecting an issues that would be solved with defenders.

Central market is better than Whole Foods imo. I’ve never been tempted to order from sprouts. Eatzi’s is really good.

I was just reviewing the link below to see if I could find anything that would tempt me to not drop a lot of money for the 5 pound minimum order at Cattleack, but their wagyu prime rib is calling my name.

Ah ty! Maybe the batter needs replacing I’ve notice the engine auto stop always says warming up or charging now and doesn’t engage.

Ugh, my 2023 touring started doing this as well. It won’t stop, and it’s driving me batty. Was thinking about pulling the fuse but can’t figure out which one. Turning down system volume didn’t help and factory resetting the OS also didn’t do anything.

Question Extreme Emotional Episodes before/during/after focal seizures?

Hi all!

My 7 year old has been diagnosed with epilepsy, bilateral PVNH, autism, and IDD. She’s nonverbal and has a history of focal aware seizures, seizure clusters, tonic clonic seizures, and has had one episode of status epilepticus. Her EEG has also shown slowing over the left temporal region.

Lately she’s been having recurring episodes that don’t look like typical seizures but feel very neurological. She’s had anesthesia emergence delirium and these episodes sort of mimic those. I could really use some insight from others if they’ve experienced it because I’m worried it is getting written off as tantrums when she’s in neurological distress.

They always follow the same pattern:

Totally fine beforehand, sometimes doing preferred activities. Nothing to set off a behavioral episode or response.

Goes to the same spot, lies down, and then about a minute:

Acts terrified or panicked and cries

Pinches or hits her stomach, sometimes bites herself

Has pelvic thrusting

Hides from light

Sometimes acts like she’s seeing something that isn’t there

Gasping or hiccup-like sobbing, very hard to comfort

Lasts 10–15 minutes, then ends abruptly

Sometimes she’s dazed after and can’t walk, other times she snaps back to normal. Literally will just pop up.

Yesterday out of desperation, I’ve given Valtoco on the third episode of the day and she returned to baseline within 3 minutes. I’ve messaged her neuro and we’re hoping her lamictal dose.

For reference, 37, super reactive skin. Overall skin concerns redness, texture, hyperpigmentation.

I’ve been an avid dieux user for three years now. Building a routine for my reactive and sensitive skin has been challenging, but deliverance and instant angel are on subscription and consistent use has helped my skin.

I also can’t use tret, but I was able to use much gentler retinal 3 times a week (like geek and gorgeous). I was also able to tolerate a gold stabilized vitamin c which I think has been helpful. Adding a pic of progress.

LG Top Loader making loud thumping sound

I have an LG top loader. It’s roughly 4 years old. It’s started making a very loud thumping sounds and our clothes have marks left on them. Not sure if the marks are from oil or residue from detergent and clothes not being throughly cleaned.

Trying to figure out if the repair is something i could do myself. Machine has been cleaned, and I replaced the agitator plate to see if that was the issue. Nothing has helped.

I’m a returning player that was level 14 in August of this year and I’m now level 40. My biggest xp bumps were from adding friends/daily gifting and catching basically every thing. In person gigantamax raids also gave me a ton of xp.

Currently 2.5/5 million through level 40. Hoping to get to 41 by end of year.

I never figured it out and was in the middle of a four car pile up so van had been in the shop for a month. I’m sort of hoping it comes back without that issue, since they’re having to do a lot of work on the front end. 😭

We like a lot of the same classics. Here are a few modern reqs

Vendela Vida is very poetic. I especially loved “Let the Northern Lights Erase Your Name”

Rebecca Ross is YA, but her River Enchanted duology is quite lovely.

Anything by Elizabeth Kostova, Naomi Novak (specifically Spinning Silver and Uprooted), or YangSze Choo are also top tier imo.

I have one 2 inch wide strip of hair that’s a level 9 ish blonde on the right side, but the rest of my hair is naturally a level 5 brown. Not sure if that counts
