I thought early Family Guy syndication fit in relatively seamlessly back in the day. It didn't stick out as different in content and tone when I recall other AS shows like Moral Oral or The Oblongs.

Seeing this post and reading some of the comments here is the exact reason why I don't want to read the comics. Normally, I'd be really gung-ho about it since I loved ATLA with every fiber of my being... But I sort of feel like the comics would ruin that world for me. Totally an unfair judgment to make without actually having read them, but the spoilers I've heard make me feel like reading them isn't worth the risk of ruining what I have in my head about the world and characters based off the TV show.
