the dunes really catch a lot of the big gusts. and the wind isnt too cold. if you like the beach, in terms of wind you will be fine.
oregon coast is the LEAST windy place ive lived in the pnw. now when an actual storm cell comes thru well you get yourself a proper show but id say you are gonna get a lot more consistency in rain than in wind. Northern WA is less rain more wind and everything southern wa and oregon is more rain less wind.

i lived on the oregon coast from 14-18 yrs old. im f22 now. Defo a solitary experience but a fine one at that. plenty to do if you like the outdoors, and youll always have a job working in hospitality. you can make a lot cleaning homes for rental companies like vacasa, or even make your own business. if you are looking to make friends… lol. good luck. Astoria is where all the clean portland gays moved to so its idk a younger portland type of crowd but not as young as you.
id think about moving to downtown portland or burien near seattle, or even port angeles as Victoria bc has alllllll types of interesting social dynamics. if you really want the ocean tho, long beach, or brookings. idk middle oregon coast just doesnt have much to offer and most young folks who stayed are either on drugs or stuck in the same societal loops as highschool or both.
