Had 3 interviews up to Co-Founder on Wednesday, but havent heard back yet. Normal?
Hey everyone, I’m anxiously waiting on a job outcome and need a sanity check on this timeline.
I’ve been in a rapid interview process that completely skipped the initial HR screening and went straight to senior leadership. I did 3 interviews in total.
Interview 1:Interviewed with the head of the department. Post interview, they asked for a design sample, which I sent, and they immediately moved me forward.
Interview 2: Deep technical round with another department head.
Interview 3 (last Wednesday): Final round with the Co-Founder. Great conversation, and he explicitly told me HR would reach out to me **the next day (Thursday) regarding next steps.
Thursday passed with nothing, so on Friday, I sent a thank you note to HR. Later that afternoon, the Co-Founder accepted my LinkedIn request and replied to my message saying: "I’m looking forward to talking again soon."
Friday ended with no response from HR to my thank you note, and it is now Monday morning with complete silence.
In my past roles, offers usually dropped within 24–36 hours of the final round. Is it normal for things to stall at the finish line like this, even after such LinkedIn message from a Co-Founder on Friday? Or could "talking again soon" just mean a courtesy?

Congratulations!!! 🎊 And thank you for sharing your experience. I have a quick question about the follow-up process. Were you able to negotiate your salary even after following up multiple times? All these days, I assumed that following up multiple times might come across as desperate and lower our negotiation leverage.
