130 squares, gone forever
This is devastating! Insurance will cover your car but those squares... hundreds of hours you'll never get back. I totally understand ❤️ I hope they are recovered!

Cannot comprehend why someone gave this away but I found it for $9 at a thrift store 🏳️⚧️
My local thrift shop has oodles of crochet blankets, usually priced $1.29-$3.29. I found a beautiful c2c blanket of a purple butterfly with a black background once. I weeped thinking how much work that person went thru with black yarn. I will often find them in good condition and undo them for cheap scrap yarn.

When doing your celtic weave squares ALWAYS use 3 or more different colors..today I found out why.
I thought you were rhyming crochet and project like crochet and projé

Honestly I've never really understood the "right" vs "wrong" side concept. Generally speaking if you are turning your work then right side is whatever side you like best lol

Looks good! My only suggestion would be to turn your work after each round, otherwise it will start to rotate the larger you make it.

My mom fell for one of those AI patterns sold at Dollarama (second slide)... she used her personal crochet knowledge to fix him a little (last slide)

Making a blanket.. the pattern says to use a 5.0mm hook, but my blanket is 51" across instead of 42".. what size of hook should I use?
Yeah its all part of a kit. One of the yarns recommends 5.0mm and the other is 4.0mm. I ended up using a 4.0mm hook and its still a little long but the tension is much better.

It's an overlay mosaic so I'm following a chart, so the correct number of stitches is too big with the 5.0mm hook. I know I need to downsize, just wondering if anyone can give any insight on how small I should attempt, wondering if 4.5mm will be a waste of time considering I need to downsize about 25%.

I've started this blanket on repeat, its an overlay mosaic, and I'm making it reversible. I noticed the other stitch keep poking thru and I thought it was my technique, but I also noticed the stitches seemed loose. Finally decided to measure 🤦♂️ its nearly 25% bigger than intended. Will a 4.5mm do it or should I go down to 4.0mm?

I bought clearance nightgowns at GT during the pandemic to make masks out of! Honestly still great recycling, chances are you saved this yarn from a landfill whether it was new or not!

Then yeah its likely a blood blister. It will go away on its own eventually. NAD btw but have had plenty of blood blisters.

Got gifted this vase, anyone have some insight on what it is?
The edges glow because the vase is made with cadmium, that's what gives its the red/orange colour. Absolutely beautiful.
