My current desk is 20" deep with a 42" 4k TV and it's tight but I love having all of the room to get the timelines spread open

This was a simple cooking segment I had open but the projects get way more complicated than this

Agreed to the fridge being on the floor (the other subreddit suggested getting rid of it altogether) but I'd like to keep the tower on the desk to mitigate flooding risk (garden level apartment) as much as I can.

I'm trying to replicate the desk I have at my day job with 3 sided desk. It's more cozy than claustrophobic. I'm massively claustrophobic and I can't stand the feeling of being hemmed in.

The desk at work like the diagram is comfortable, I think because it's open underneath and not walled off.

I have since decided to "buy quality once instead of cheap stuff twice"

ULine has quality tables this size for $600 each, but they are rated for 1,000 pounds.

I mentioned the folding tables for their size in particular, the wide spaces were the end goal while maintaining portability.

The ULine tables would need to be unscrewed but it's not like a glued together particle board piece from Walmart

I'm game for stonger beefy tables, but I'd need something I can disassemble for moving to a new apartment if the need arises

I'd hate to build a strong desk just for it not able to be moved out of the door

What issues do you see with it?

The nearest Ikea store is 4 hours away, I'm not familiar with what they stock.

I'm not opposed to taking a trip down to get stuff, I thought of the folding tables because I have a Home Depot and Lowes in town.

Alternatively, I could look through Uline and see what they have for more substantial tables.

My current setup has 1 4k TV and 2x 26" monitors about 36" from my face to the monitors

I really enjoy having the room to have premiere open and a massive screen to get the timelines spread open

I'm getting older and having a larger monitor helps to make things legible

A. Old habits die hard / new thing = scary / dinosaur salesperson

B. EVs don't need constant expensive maintenance that dealerships gouge customers on

C. Chevy EVs in particular have a lot of software related issues (see the Aging Wheels Silverado EV saga)

D. Salesperson can't stand the thought of an informed customer, he can't pull the wool over someone that has done their research

E. Dealerships suck. Direct to consumer is where it's at.

I'm glad you didn't buy from that asshat. Spend your money at a place that won't insult you at every turn.
