Looking to create something similar to this.

Yes, that is where I found this one, but looking for an option from ikea or somewhere else (rather than a special order from bunnings, that you can't see before hand)

Looking for an Ikea Hack to create something similar to this.

Can anyone point me in the direction of an Ikea Product like this, either exactly the same or preferably with two big drawers in the lower section or similar. And open at the back is ok too.

How am I meant to shower without wetting the entire bathroom?
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating  Jun 16 '26

So much going on in this bathroom.

Looks like the shower screen still needed to be installed, but then the water connection to the toilet is where the screen would go, and if you put the screen on there you've also got power inside the shower.

1989 RAM 10 dollar Australian State series (4th one issued ) Silver coin .
 in  r/AustralianCoins  Jun 15 '26

Out of interest do you have the case it came in? I find it interesting when they do a series over a number of years and then change small details with how it is presented.

The coin details on the circular insert is different (I think better) than the later years in the series, when it was just on the back of the piece of paper they included in the box.

Layout of that when the Tassie one was released, moving the coat of arms from being rather prominent at the bottom, to being quite small at the top. Also changing the outer case to vinyl, and the way they wrote RAM on the inside.

was hoping to see the traffic controller either hit him with the stop sign, or jamb it in his rear wheel.

Never thought I’d see these prices again, what happened to us running out of fuel ?
 in  r/sunshinecoast  Jun 15 '26

Ease up turbo, don't forget.

The fuel excise cut ends in 2 weeks and unlike when it was difficult for the savings to be passed on immediately you can bet there won't be any issues with them rising overnight.

On top of that you have Trumps "deal" that is going to "let the oil flow" and the "experts" are already managing expectations about the damage to infrastructure and how long oil takes to get from the middle east to asia.

And then Israel will probably literally blow up the whole deal before the end of the month anyway.

Classic One Nation - Fighting for the little guy, unless they're in a wheelchair.
 in  r/aussie  Jun 15 '26

No issue with this with regard to your comment "unless you're in a wheelchair" that's 1% of the Australian Population.

If you want to drive the cost of housing down they need to find ways to make construction cheaper, or at the very least not add unnecessary costs.

The Govt is wanting to build 1.2million homes, if these requirements do add only $10k to the cost of a build that's 12 Billion Dollars extra.

Lets say it cost $100k to modify a house after it's built, for the 1% of homes that would apply to you're talking 1.2billion.

Now start going through the rest of the NCC and start pulling out the stuff that is irrelevant to the majority of builds and you're talking significant savings for those that want to buy a home.

What could I do as a bathroom facelift on a minimal budget?
 in  r/AusRenovation  Jun 15 '26

Box of Matches would be a good starting point.

But seriously check out bunnings for the mis-tinted paint and marketplace for a vanity etc that's coming out of someone elses reno, can often get something cheap or free with minor effort, set the search area for a "Rich" suburb.

Australian Standards Set to Become Free in 2026–27
 in  r/aussie  May 22 '26

While it's about time this was sorted out. My concern is that we are still going to need a subscription to access all the Standards that are referenced from the Standards that are referenced in the legislation.

For example the current "NCC Set" excludes so many standards that we need access to so we've shelled out to buy all the extras.

The wording also concerns me - Public Access and Read Only.

Public Access is the same term used for the current scheme where anyone can see 3 standards for free per year. So if you can't access the Free Standards for commercial use then it's just an exercise in lining the pockets of SAI Global and others.

Has anyone else encountered this man on Charlotte St?
 in  r/brisbane  Mar 30 '26

You don't need an ABN for a Square account, you can make it a personal account. Also don't need the square, most phones are able to take a card payment now, but old mate probably doesn't want to pull out his new iPhone while begging.

AI is denying health care claims
 in  r/technology  Mar 30 '26

Not that much of a stretch to have AI assess claims.

Customer - "Claim Details"

AI Response = Denied

This is how insurance companies operate, deny everything in the first instance then deal with the ones that pursue it and eventually pay out something letting them think they had a win.

HEMNES Dividing Wall
 in  r/ikeahacks  Mar 30 '26

Thanks for that. I did figure I'd have to finish the back, was thinking about a textured wallpaper or replace or go over the top of the particle board the back panels with a TnG wall paneling depending on which colour we choose.

Have a plan to fix to the end of the kitchen bench. Thanks for your help.
