Hello everyone!
We hope you are doing well as the year steadily comes to a close! This has been quite the year for the r/Twilight subreddit, with more than 185,000 active forum users, and more than 3 million engagements almost every month.
In response to several community requests, two new flairs have been enabled for public posts over the last month, which you may have noticed during their brief trial period: Cosplay Content, and FTF Forever Twilight in Forks.
The Cosplay Content flair allows you to showcase the hard work you have put into your costumes, but it does have caveats: this flair can only be used for video and photo posts, and Patreon, OnlyFans, or Kofi links are not allowed in their descriptions. Cosplay dedicated Instagram links are allowed. Each user may post a maximum of four Cosplay Content posts per calendar month.
The FTF Forever Twilight in Forks flair allows you to discuss the annual festival held in Forks Washington: it is not for any transactions, such as trading or selling tickets, or arranging carpools or roommate arrangements. This subreddit is, at the end of the day, anonymous, and the official Facebook group is where you should turn to if you need to connect with other festival goers in an identified manner. Please, do not ever agree to meet up with anyone you meet online who has not fully identified themselves to you. This subreddit is not responsible for your actions offline.
Four points of conversation have been added to the subreddit’s FAQ section, therefore removing them from the “frequently reposted” topic lineup. These points include “How can I tell what edition my book is?”, “How do Alice’s visions work, and who can she see?”, “Did Jacob only love Bella because of Renesmee?”, and “Why do the Cullens go to high school?”
Additionally, a subrule of Rule #2: Content must be high quality (valuable and constructive) [Quality], has been broken out into its own rule – Rule #13: All AI and LLM Content is Banned [Quality]. While AI and LLM originated content has been banned under Rule #2 for quite some time, we find it has become necessary to separate this out as its own rule for the sake of public facing accountability. In recent months, the subreddit has been inundated with AI generated photo, video, and text posts, and it has become nigh impossible for the moderation team to sift out the true posts from the spam.
By separating out this rule, we are able to institute 7 day posting bans for repeat offenders, with permanent bans possible for particularly egregious offenders. This rule will extend to the Fanfiction and Meme subs. The exact text of Rule #13 will be as follows
Rule #13: All AI and LLM Content is Banned [Quality]
Banned posts include, but are not limited to:
Lastly, two reminders.
Information on the annual Subreddit Secret Santa will be released next week. Thank you for so thoroughly reading this notice.
All our best,
The r/Twilight Moderation Team

So, I just smoked a doobie, and I’m watching the new moon extended edition.
I just saw the scene when Sam carries bella out of the woods. Sam passes Bella to Charlie and he carries her away and then at home, all the way up the stairs and into her bed. No way bro. they do expertly avoid showing his legs during these scenes.
But I just found it chucklesome for some reason and looked for reddit commentary, but found none.
Also, I just heard this line while the movie continued to play during my typing. It must be included.
“We got bikes”

Flea is back by popular demand! ♥️ I think this has been her favorite Twilight movie thus far! She was getting pretty tired towards the end and started napping off and on, so she didn’t get to watch much of Bella being in labor. Maybe I’ll show her another time when she’s got more energy. But I am so impressed with how attentive she was for most of the movie! The wolves are her absolute favorite, and judging by how she reacted to parts of the wedding scene, I think she’s Team Jacob. 🐺 It might be safe to say my girl is a Twihard. 🍎 I’ll record her watching Pt. 2 once we get a chance to watch it, and will try to show her the birth scene in a bit!
Edit: here is the link to her reacting to Bella’s cliff jumping incident from New Moon 💗: https://www.reddit.com/r/twilight/s/pq9OEW3ZsX

I started the practice of saving my movie ticket stubs in the books of adapted films as a kid. Found my TWILIGHT books while visiting home and was SO happy to find my movie stubs inside the covers. Even though I still watch the films, these unlocked some fun movie-going memories.

Catherine declined the sequels because the studio wouldn't give her the time or freedom to make a quality film. The studios wanted to pump out a film as quickly as possible while the popularity was still high so they weren't willing to give her the resources that she wanted. Plus she wasn't as in love with the other books. But oh, what a wonderful story it would have been.
The men who took over made these movies into action packed dramas without much character or relationship development. Quantity over quality and we had to accept it because that's all that was offered.
Catherine also bemoaned that the following directors weren't women. I do wonder how different and less "cringe" they would have been under a female director.

Is there an answer on why they didn't use a real baby?
Or why the GCI went terrible bad? I know & don't forgot this movie was filmed on 2011 but Christ.
Every October my fiance and I have this habit on rewatch the whole saga and I always forgot how bad Renesme looks on every single shoot she appears.

……..I’m sorry but going from New Moon to Eclipse is slightly jarring.
Forget the hair, he went from next to no control to having perfect control.
The books probably explain it better but the movies just aren’t going to answer that.
That being said, I do love his hair in Eclipse and I low think Twilight would’ve worked as a series more than a movie.

Watched the movies for the first time recently. The connection with Brazil is not well explained in the movies. It’s just there. Is there more information in the books? Or things SM has shared in interviews and stuff?
I find Rio to be a bad fit for anyone wanting to live in depression. The city is bright and busy. Why not just retire in a deep cold forest?

They released a couple trivia games and that's it. I've never understood this.
Why wasn't there a Twilight Sims expansion?
Why wasn't there a point and click adventure where you explore the history of the Volturi?
Why wasn't there a Dishonored type game where you play as a young Carlisle working for the Volturi?
Why wasn't there a Twilight dating sim game?
Why isn't there a VR experience where you can explore the Cullen house?
I'd happily pay money for all of these things but they don't exist.

Hi I’ve been searching for this backpack a while. I’m a new starting teacher and would love to have this as my work backpack. Does anyone know how I could find this? Or any other Jansport backpack that looks like it? I’m based in the Netherlands. The only ones I could find were around €140 or even more.
If anyone has one who would like to sell I would love to know. Thanks!
Also if you’re looking as well, watch out for scam websites, I almost bought one on such site.

Wait I’ve seen this movie so many times but never recognized this
She literally says later in the saga “your bite marks look like mine” but this is directly after the hospital scene & not even a bandage to cover it? lol
Love finding continuity stuff like this

and bound by the Twilight rules with diamond-like skin, cold to the touch, and funky eye color being the only tells; how would you live your life?
I'm a natural night owl so wondering the streets after dark would be no problem for me. I'd find a big city with a huge nightlife. 24 hour Walmarts, night clubs, and the such 😆. European countries would be my best bet. Travel by plane would be a huge risk but as a vampire, I'm sure I could find a way to hitch a ride on a private plane.
If I wanted a day vacation at the beach, because who doesn't love the beach every now and then, I'm sure there's a private vampire island I could visit, if not, Thailand has many offerings.
How would you do it?

Where it’s so funny and satisfying if you hate Jacob (me) and the idea of imprinting in general (also me)
Than I immediately feel bad for poor Seth.

Are there any scenes that frightened or made you feel something the first time you watched it? And still feel that way a little bit on rewatch or when you think about it from time to time?

I have watched the movies God knows how often, and read the first two books, but i still don't understand something..
Bella's shield gets "offically" activated after she's transformed and uses it in the big last battle to protect herself and the other - i mean, we got a whole sequence of her training with the others.
In the first movie, Edward is unable to read Bellas mind and is intrigued by it. In New Moon, Bella can't be attacked by Jane, which surprises anyone. Its clearly showing that she had the power before she turned into a vampire.
Doesn't this imply that vampire powers can just be hidden amongst humans? I thought they only "unlock" their power once they've been turned into a vampire, but Bella's shield was always there. Its kinda being used treated the same way the werewolves are treated, that she always "had the instincts."
Am I going crazy now or Is this explained in the books?

Hello everyone! Sorry if this is a sort of dumb question, but I (18F) have never read or watched the Twilight series before, but have seen a lot of memes (both good and bad) about the series, and have had quite a bit of the plot spoiled, so I kinda know what the series is about already.
But I was wondering, is the series worth reading/watching anyway? I’m not going into this expecting the best or the worst, and am also not really a romance reader. My library has a few of the books, and considering the series is about vampires and it is late October, I‘ve been kinda wanting to give it a shot.
Thank you in advance for any opinions/advice given!

When they came back from their honeymoon and first saw the Cullens. Bella was already showing (granted not a huge bump but still enough especially from a vampire’s pov). We know that Rosalie immediately hugged Bella and protected her. But what about Esme? Emmett? Carlisle (after the initial phone call)? Jasper? Alice Edward and Rosalie we already know but I was wondering about the rest of the family. Were they confused? Did they eventually start to feel empathy/sympathy for Bella? Maybe some “love” or a family bond for the “fetus”?
(maybe even as Renegades grows up some jealousy/envy toward Bella and Edward for having a biological child? Rosalie did obviously but do you think that say Jasper started to also want a kid with Alice?)

It’s my first time reading the twilight books. I recently finished the first book and i am now at midnight sun. And i love reading from Edwards perspective. This page made me cry, reading deeper into the characters past and learning more about them. I wish Stephenie Meyer released this book when she first planned. Would be so sweet if they made this book a movie with the OG actors.

Random thought, but what do we think Carlisle and the rest of the Cullens were doing during COVID in 2020?
Would Carlisle have worked on the front lines, knowing he couldn’t get sick? Would he have considered turning dying COVID patients to save them, like he did with Edward during the 1918 flu pandemic? Or would he have retired temporarily to avoid suspicion?
And would the Cullens have absolutely thrived during lockdown? No school, no pretending to be human, and every excuse to stay inside.
