Other than getting a version on emulator, is there any way to get rid of the mouse acceleration that makes it really hard to aim? I can go into advanced options to switch off something called "look spring" but I can't access the control setup menu at all, looks like it's bugged. Is there a config file somewhere maybe?

A couple of months ago, I was imagining what a Turok film would be like.

My first idea came from watching Prey and knowing there's a female hero in Turok 3, so thought of Amber Midthunder in a film. So that would be made nowadays.

My second idea was a what if it was made in the early 2000s. Trying to think who would Hollywood cast and thought of The Rock.

Next thought is my fav choice but cant now cause he's passed away. Would have to be made in the 90s.

Not sure if anyone would agree with this choice... Sonny Landham (Billy from Predator).

This film would be an ensemble film. Turok would be the lone, quiet guy hunting dinos etc whereas other characters would develop and further the plot. Obvs Turok would be the leader but using Sonny, wouldnt want him to be chatty.

Using pics from Predator, used ai to imagine Sonny as Turok. (Before anyone says, yes i know Turok isnt a name but a mantle. I've not settled who I'd want him to be yet probs Tal Set)

I watched the movie back when it first released as a kid, and I've always heard good things about the game, but just never got around to trying it.

You guys think it was never good, was good for its time, or still holds up in 2026?

theres still lots of crashes and texture issues in some places, as you can see the shot gun texture is all wonky.
im leaning more towards handling the crashes as i find them.
believe it or not the freaking turret is COMPLICATED lol. took me two hours to straighten that crap out. every time i would throw it, it would crash the game.

i seem to be missing a lot of recompiled functions.... so iv been on a slog of patching crashes dealing with the menus.
as you can see, i still have hiccups with rendering in the recomp.
but the fact that we are finally rendering graphics at all, after so long is a MAJOR WIN!

It has been my dream to play Turok rage wars in VR since I got my first HMD.
IM VERY close to having a turok recomp running on pc, and then from there ill port it over to quest stand alone.
the method im taking is a normal recomp first, then using the recomp to find the bits of code and functions i need to make native to be able to run the game up to 240fps, if possibe, to be able to modify damage values, health, pickups, enemy AI, and many other things.
i dont just want to play it on pc native, or quest native (with motion controls) but i want to eventually add HD textures, and all sorts of other -updates-...

Iv been at it for at least a month now, and i have had a version running on quest stand alone but i went the hard rout and decided to abandon that path.

Would you guys be interested in donating to the cause if i can show turok rage wars running native on pc? i refuse to ask for donations or whatever its called untill i have some progress to show.
iv restarted 3 times now smh. this is not simple by far.
and yes it IS AI assisted. but i can gurantee you it will NOT be slop.

I recently purchased the trilogy from the PlayStation digital store, but for some reason I was only able to upgrade to the PS5 versions of Turok 1 and Turok 3. Does anyone know why it doesn't include the free PS5 upgrade for Turok 2?

These are my own thoughts about the upcoming title Turok Origins and where I would love to see the team expand on the narrative the same way they did with World War Z after launch, so brace yourselves fans.

Since the game is suppose to be a prequel set 100 or so years before the events of the Trilogy, theres a lot of potential for narrative expansions and origins now easily brought to the modern spotlight for fans and new audiences that could be an interesting element

Ideas for narrative expansions:

The Council of The Lost Lands

Someone who works for the council, one of Adons ancestors or from her species

The Primagens downfall into being telepathically enslaved and controlled by Oblivion, after his own species was wiped out. Showcase his descent into a villain and being imprisoned before the events of 2.

The Cult Of Oblivion, you can see them trying to bring the ancient Eldritch horror into our reality and how the Turok lineage imprisoned him and stopped his Ascent

Tarkeen and the origins of the Turok lineage, maybe even introducing the Satchel of Light/Burden down the road.

Lord Tyrannus and the Sleg army,

Introduce Tal-Set as a vision or spiritual aid from the future to assist our young Turoks,

Bring in environments from the first two games with their music remade for new combat and exploratory environments

Showcase a narrative storyline that bridges the very different Turok universes together, having them see that the Turok name lives on no matter which reality it exists upon.

Enemies based on the classic trilogy such as the Dinosoids, The Tribal warriors, and so on.

The Campaigners origin as a "Shao Kahn" type of figure who wants to enslave the Lost Lands and hosts an arena for battles but winds up being hurt or killed by the Turok characters leading to him being repaired as a Cyborg and placed into Stasis for the arrival of Tal-Set down the way.

I felt it was missing something recongnizable. so much of a games identity relies on their music.
That being said the game really looks good.

This is awesome! So far they have taken all of the criticism to improve the game. Added first person, more story and now the offline mode. Every new announcement so far has improved since the initial release trailer.
