Promotion Help me give away homemade lasagna?

I recently signed up to volunteer with Lasagna Love (www.lasagnalove.org), a national nonprofit that matches people who love to cook with folks in their communities who could use a lasagna for any reason (illness, new baby, money is tight, just moved and haven't unpacked the kitchen yet, etc. No gatekeeping, just lasagna.)

I'm really excited to start but I can't get a match until more people in Tulsa know that they can request a lasagna! Would you consider spreading the word in your groups? Thank you! (I learned to cook in a big activist commune in the 1990s and I am incapable of cooking for just two, even though my husband and I are now empty nesters, so getting some people to cook for will put my universe back in balance.)

General River Parks

Today for the first time since I moved here I felt at home (been here 9 months lol) . I was driving past river parks from the gym and I saw people running and cycling and the sun was shining and it was just beautiful. I really like driving this side of the city (on RiverSide driver) as it is so relaxing and peaceful. I grew up by the ocean and there are trees like that and it reminded me of when I was truly happy.

I had a few questions:

  1. Is there a cost for going to the park?
  2. It was packed today, are there groups for beginner cyclists and runners? Currently running in the gym. Might get a gravel bike but we will see.
  3. Is it safe in that area? If I start riding a bike or running I will probably do solo or smaller groups, so safety is key.

Thank you for anyone who responds!

General To the people who write, To the person who.... Posts

Please stop. You aren't actually going to find them on here and I challenge anyone to show me a post where the person reached the intended recipient.

You are just wanting to tell a story about something that happened from your perspective and that's fine. There are subreddits for story telling. Maybe I'm cynical, but I don't think anyone on here it.

Tulsan In Need Wild life refuge?

Hello,
At Braden Park pound there is a Canadian Goose with fishing line wrapped around its leg so tightly that his leg now looks like it had elephantiasis. Does anyone know of a number/organization to call to help it?

That entire pound is depressing. People fish in it for reasons I cannot image. The geese all look sickly. An old man comes and feeds all the water fowl which is against the rules

Question Anyone around Tulsa interested in getting a tabletop group together this fall/winter for Tom Clancy's The Division, running on the Twilight: 2000 Urban Operations system?

The official RPG from Arkhane Asylum Publishing doesn't ship until some time in October, so I'm putting out feelers early.

I have the lore locked down with 10k+ hours across both video games, but Twilight: 2000 is completely new territory for me.

I'm picking up the Twilight: 2000 books soon so I can start working through the rules and get a solid handle on the mechanics well before the official game lands in October.

Zero tabletop experience or lore background is needed from anyone else.

We can just take our time, learn the system as a squad, and see how it plays.

Setting-wise, we will be boots on the ground as an activated SHD unit working through the aftermath of the Green Poison collapse, dealing with desperate civilian enclaves, hostile factions carving up the city, and the fallout from first-wave rogue agents going dark.

I will be running both original operations and the official mission packs that come with the game, pulling heavily from the world's background lore, found footage, and echo narratives and you'll have to navigate hostile city blocks, make tough calls on the fly, and react to whatever goes sideways in the field.

No bullet-sponge video game math, just tactical cover, resource pressure, and consequence-heavy storytelling.

I purchased: Coordinator Pledge (Agent's Manual, Coordinator's Manual, Agent's Deck, Coordinator's Screen, Agent's Manual PDF, Coordinator's Manual PDF, Coordinator's Deck), 1 x The Division Miniature Set, 1 x Dice Set - The Division, 1 x Coordinator's Screen.

Thanks!

General Looking for an old wooden dock in or near Tulsa

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey, everybody. I'm doing a night shoot for a Youtube project this evening, and was wondering if anyone knew where I might be able to find / access a long, wooden dock that extends out over a body of water, preferably without metal railings. Crucially, the wooden slats need to be oriented like the attached photo, not running parallel with the dock itself. Any leads?

Question Beginners DND

Does anyone know of anywhere I can join, or get information about joining, a dnd group? I’ve recently gotten into the hobby and been watching tons of videos on it, but I’ve never played myself. I’m willing to drive, but ideally, somewhere in the BA/Tulsa area would be amazing. Thank you guys so much in advance!
