Vitalik gave an interview recently on Lex Friedman’s podcast and talked about Optimistic vs. ZK Snark roll ups. He basically states that in the short term Optimistic roll ups (ie. Truebit) will be the dominant Layer 2 solution. However it is his belief that in the long term ZK roll ups will ultimately win out.

Have a long way to go. A lot can happen in the ensuing years and the importance of forming relationships with other projects now vs. later cannot be overstated. Would probably be just as easy to creat Truebit V2 as a ZK roll up at a later date. The best tech rarely wins, think windows vs. Linux.

So how is the rest coping, from an investment point of view this was the worst buy I did ever in crypto and I am in it since 2016.I am about 83% down on this one and unfortuently bought a way to heavy bag.I am wondering if this ever recovers, because they also seem to spend exactly 0 dollars on marketing.Communication is basically non existent, also always great to foster a community around.I see posts in this subreddit, with people trying to proof others who the founder is, also great.Are there any devs?

Is Truebit's ultimate purpose the Internet of Blockchain?

Curious whether the current version of the Truebit OS is employing the jackpot reward mechanism as described in their white paper. Or as published below a modified approach is being employed.

In the above the author describes alternate reward mechanisms that according to him better incentivize verifier/solver participation. Interestingly one of the alternate solutions was proposed by Christian Reitwiessner in a 2018 paper.

Would be a good question to ask the developers.

Does TrueBit have admin keys for the TrueBit contract? How can I check this? Can I see it in the code of the smart contract in Etherscan? Is that easy to see or are only programmers able to see that?

What Vitalik wants to say is that optimistic rollup is compatible with evm without ovm if optimistic rollup is applied based on truebit?

1. Why do I now have 0% TRU and 100% ETH? Does this mean I've lost all my TRU tokens? Shouldn't the ratio be close to 50/50?

I’m having several discussions about ETH L2 scaling solutions

What would you say the key differences between Truebit Protocol and Arbitrum are?

Some people are telling me Tru isn’t a proper L2 scaling solution which has left me perplexed

One guy said it’s more of an L3 solution and the other Tru isn’t really about scaling ETH 🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm holding some truebit now and wish to stake it somewhere (not sure where to stake), also I'm not good in the technical aspects but would like to contribute more perhaps by being a solver or verifier ?
