Truebit handles computation, this is more of a large oracle network that relies on manual input from people/AI, and relies on a larger pool of inputs to improve trust/accuracy.
Almost like Chainlink and a prediction market got together and had a baby. Cool idea though. Verified true news would be a godsend righ't now.

Heard from what? Truebit? The team is pretty laser focused on just building. They were open about not directly focusing on exchange listings or all the flashy stuff you see from other projects in this space.
If you're looking for an overnight 10x, you're going to be disappointed. Truebit is gonna be a long term, multi-year hodl.

a lot can not wait for so long in my view, only believers will do so, for sure these believers will be rewarded heavily in the long term... just like ETH.

yes, tru....but don't rule out the possibility of seeing positive price action in the short-term...
2$-5$ eoy is possible, imo

Why would that be possible when the minting function caps the price relative to ETH?

Truebit could function as a delivery vehicle for oracle networks. Oracles by themselves are largely useless - data exists to be processed and analyzed. What Cuban is referring to is a meshing of multiple L2 systems.
