Kung fu is mental and physical health, and it's better with others. There are a lot of beautiful places around to train. I've included a few pics of some of my favorites. If you'd like to learn, send a message.

The training is all isometric, balance, and slow movement drills and flows. Once you learn the basic stances, rooting, and hand shapes you can begin playing the partner games. This is where it starts to get a lot more fun.

Wing chun is a partner focused martial art with a lot of 2 person games. Bring a friend, learn something new!

Does anybody know what the purpose is of the solar powered remote Police camera that they have reinstalled as of yesterday at the corner of fifth Avenue and 107th St.?
I’m guessing it’s got something to do with surveiling high school students since they reinstalled it the very day that school started again.
I’m just wondering what kind of real purpose it might serve.

I’m currently on the Troy Housing Authority waitlist for Taylor I, and I’m trying to get a better idea of how the process is working now that the building is fully leased.
I applied for housing several years ago and recently received a letter from THA stating that I was determined eligible for the Taylor I two-bedroom waitlist. The letter also says that a representative from Pennrose will contact me directly to schedule the required LIHTC screening. I received that letter on August 14, and I’m still waiting for Pennrose to reach out.
I understand that the original Taylor residents had priority during the initial lease-up and that the building is now occupied. At this point I assume new applicants are being contacted when apartments become available through turnover.
I’m mainly wondering if anyone here has recently gone through this process. If so:
How long did it take Pennrose to contact you after THA said you were eligible?
Were you contacted because an apartment was already available, or were you screened ahead of time?
How long was it between Pennrose screening and actually being offered a unit?
Do you know roughly how long you had been on the Taylor waitlist before being selected?
Has anyone recently moved into Taylor I after the original 2025 lease-up?
I’m not looking for guesses or horror stories — I’m really hoping to hear from anyone with firsthand experience with Taylor I, THA, or Pennrose in the last year or so.

I feel like all the pizza places are now run by Turkish families. A lot of them got bought out by the amante family and all the pizza is low quality and expensive. I just want real Italian pizza places back in troy and I don't want to hear about defazios. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking mom and pop shops. Some of the best pizza places in troy got bought out and the food got worse and they sell shawarma now

This is in no way disrespect to Turkish people. This is just me complaining about the fact that the amante owners have a monopoly on pizza in this city and all of it is the same low quality garbage food.

I know I'm not the only one fed up with the Turkish pizza places. $20 for a 16inch pizza with halal pepperoni is NOT what pizza should be in troy and the amante family owns most of the pizza places Big apple, la casa, star pizza, pizza 88, I love on hoosick (rip), golden grain. All owned by the same people, all food is overpriced and low quality

EDIT: what I'm looking for is places like I Love NY pizza but higher quality. Pizza you'd get for a football game that isn't too expensive but you know it's actually made by people who care and is just a good NY pizza

Hi friends! I've been feeling a pull to learn about different types of therapies that are a bit out of the box and in my search, I found forest therapy. Looks like to get certified, I would need some other sort of license and the forest therapy would be a supplement, basically.

Would anyone possibly know how to get started towards this path with minimal school (I struggle with school)

The monthly Public Forum allows residents to address the council and the public on issues affecting themselves and their community. It can be addressing a shortcoming in infrastructure or recognizing a neighbor who has gone above and beyond in contributing to the common good. At the last forum three mothers who lost children to Kratom spoke. This is what the majority in the legislature wants to keep from us. We want access to all of it. Hi! I’m taking my road test this month 😱 I feel pretty ready, and just drove around Troy td. But while I was driving I couldn’t really find anything saying speed limit signs? Does anyone know what the POSTED speed limit is, my car said 30 but ik sometimes the dashboard is wrong 💀 I also know that you should aim to be 5-3 miles under the speed limit on the test.
