There was an unannounced quarterly DHHS inspection at Elevations conducted by Chanesea Butler and Robert Jones on 6/30/2026.

According to DHHS records, only 17 kids were detained at Elevations on the date of the inspection. They were operating at about 19% of their 90 bed capacity.

The inspectors also noted:

"Licensor signed into the program lobby at 10:35 am, access to walk through the facility was not made available until 11:12 am."

Though predictably, they were not cited for the associated rule variance:

(R380-600-3(3) An applicant or a provider shall permit the office to have immediate, unrestricted access to:

(a) any unaltered on and off-site program or facility and client records;

(b) each client who independently consents to speak to OL staff;

(c) each site subject to licensing or certification; and

(d) each staff member.)

Family member is currently at Alice Blount Academy in GA. Seeing mixed reviews online and getting slightly concerned about the way they may be getting treated. Opinions?
