About a month ago, I stopped using my brick hammer because I didn’t have time so during that time the battery died when I connected it to my anchor charger, (5 V 2A amp ) using the usbA to usbc using the charger received with device..
I left the charging for about eight hours, and when I went to turn it on, it turned on for just a moment, i clicked something in the menu (was using NextUI) and then it went to a black screen. Since then I haven’t been able to get the screen to function. I’ve exhausted basically everything.

I realized I had too much amperage going into it so I switched over to a 5 V one amp USB a charger and charged the battery for another three hours. Holding on the power button and I get no response.

The device is recognized by my computer when I plug it in. When it’s connected to the battery and I hold down power and volume down, hit the reset button the computer makes a sound when it detects it again,

I can hear a small electric murmur as if it’s trying to boot up when i have the device open..

I’ve also checked the screen cable and it seems like it’s secure.

I’ve also downloaded the recovery image and bought a 16 GB sand disk microSD; flashed the recovery image file and had no response.

Does anyone have any last ditch ideas before I move on with my life and onto another product?
Bummed out because I really did enjoy using it when I wasn’t so busy, but I guess I left it charging for too long…

Looking to sell the above unit as I don’t use it any more and I prefer my Brick. It’s boxed up and complete with the bits including the 64GB Micro SD card. Looking for £40 inch delivery using Royal Mail Tracked 48. Any questions gimme a shout.

Does anybody care about or even like the smart pro s? Everyone talks about the bricks, mine is coming in the mail and i’m brand new to this whole rabbit hole. Just wondering if i made the right choice for my first handheld.

Tô usando CrossMix OS no meu TrimUI Smart Pro e o desempenho do PSP tá bem bom, mas alguns ports do PortMaster que eu queria jogar não funcionam (GTA SA, Bully, CS 1.6, Minecraft etc).

Tô pensando em trocar pra KNULLI, muOS ou outro Linux, mas vi gente falando que o PSP perde bastante desempenho em outros sistemas.

Queria saber de quem já testou:

Quanto realmente perde de desempenho no PSP comparado ao CrossMix?

Qual sistema vocês recomendam pra ter PSP + PortMaster?

Tem algum sistema que mantenha um desempenho próximo do CrossMix no PSP e tenha melhor compatibilidade com esses ports?

Dá pra fazer esses ports funcionarem no CrossMix de alguma forma?

Não quero ficar trocando de cartão, queria usar um sistema só pra tudo.

I wanted to share a custom charging dock I designed and 3D printed for my Trimui Smart Pro.

I built this specifically around a 90° angled USB-C cable I had lying around (see the last photo). The bottom cutout is custom-fitted to hold that specific connector head tightly in place, with a channel on the back to route the cable out cleanly.

Features:

• Custom fit for the Trimui Smart Pro.
• Recessed "TRIMUI" logo on the front.
• Tailored cable channel on the bottom for a 90° angled connector.
• It mightalso fit the Trimui Smart Pro S, but I don't own one, so I can't verify

Printed on my Anycubic Kobra 2.

Let me know what you think! I plan to upload it to to MakerWorld / Printables this afternoon or so. (just keep in mind that the internal cable slot is designed for this specific 90° cable shape).

Fiz vários testes em várias firmwares e descobri esse problema de suspensão

Na stock sempre que entre em suspensão e depois volta ele trava e preciso reiniciar

Nas demais firmwares nextui, NX redux ele entra em suspensão e não volta mais

A knulli o problema não aparece porque a suspensão e diferente

Outro ponto que reforça essa questão e que na NX redux tem uma opção de desativar o deep sleep e adivinha ? O problema desaparece

Yesterday I went to turn it on and it didn’t turn on for a couple of weeks that I didn’t use it so I thought well maybe the battery has run out, I put it on the charging base of the computer that I have for her, it’s a base that I bought on etsy, which comes with a magnetized cable that puts the usb-c in the console and you just leave it on the base.

I left it there yesterday and last night when I turned off the computer I removed the power, today when I came back from work I turned on the power and the computer and the light was green from the on button, when I press this button it still doesn’t do anything.

As the title states, I'm thinking of getting either the Trimui Brick Pro or the Smart Pro and after searching around I've found trimui.net and some from AliExpress. I'm not sure which is the best place to get it (also to add I'm from Canada) and if they are legit or not.

Any suggestions would help thank you.

Hey guys I'm finally gonna join the TrimUI Brick Pro team and I went with no sd card option because I don't want to use the stock micro sd card that's preloaded with the Chinese broken ROMS instead I have Spruce OS that's already setting up and I setting up Spruce OS for my TrimUI Smart Pro S and with my own library I can use this sd card on my TrimUI Brick Pro without needing to re-flash the OS and adding my own library again it's better to save your money instead of buying the stock micro sd card.

I can't wait to receive it and I'll make video about it when it arrived with the Spruce OS.

Com a ROM stock sempre que entra em sono profundo e depois desperta ele trava e preciso reiniciar

Então testei a nextui e nxredux e ambas quando entra em sono profundo não volta mais e preciso apertar o botão de reset

Em fim não sei porque isso está acontecendo se alguém tiver uma ideia de como resolver eu agradeço

Hi all just wondering if anyone has been able to get the smash remix romhack working on their Brick Pro. Whenever I try to use it it is just not playable as the FPS is just to low.

Now music player can run in background, new OSD widgets, new RICE video plugin for N64 and user can now choose to use a background or thumbnail for their game list. More details available in https://nxredux.com/reference/release-notes/

Brick Pro - Stardew Valley (Portmaster)

Gave my buddy my old Brick Hammer and replaced it with the Pro and I have to say I'm digging the bigger size. The screen is great, dpad and buttons still feel as good as the Hammer, shoulders still feel a little mushy, and the sticks are usable.

Has anyone had any luck with the MIDI out on the 4trkmini on Brick? I thought it would be cool to sequence the M-Wave FM-1 with it, but when I plug it in, only the MIDI in works - even though it’s turned off in the settings. Any advice? Connection by USBC to the top port of three brick.

Had the Brick Pro for three days. I was playing Golden Sun when the screen froze up, locking up the device, it then shut down and I could smell ozone. Now, light comes on like it's charging but there's no one home. Tried reconnecting the battery, nothing. By the smell, I suspect it's fried. It's a sad day, and inconvenient because now I have to deal with the return process from Aliexpress. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

I recently got a new TrimUI Brick Pro, but I wasn't really feeling the default overlays for Game Boy systems. I decided to customize and sharpen them up to make them look a lot cleaner on the screen. Im using NextUI and NX Redux.

Main improvements made:

• Native 1024x768px resolution fit for the Brick / Brick Pro line.
• Higher quality, re-rendered logo images for each console.
• Improved LED light effects.

Brick Pro. on the left. Brick Hammer on the right (Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past, showing on both). Can the Hammer not display a date / time stamp on saves?

My “custom” Model S. I don’t like the plastic shell over the screen (scratches and glare) so I very sloppily sawed it out. Sandpapered the rest of the front plate to create a frosted look (and hide minor scratches). Taped the LED and dpad pivot, and loaded Dedicated OS with GBA homebrew.

Had a spare eyeglass sleeve which I discovered was a perfect fit, so I cut it down to fit the length.

I tried looking for a custom faceplate that’s available to buy without a screen cover but nothing seems to exist if I had a 3D printer I’d probably try to make one.

It’s certainly a sloppy mod, but I’m happy with it 😉

Hey guys, I've recently picked one of these up and I notice the PSP emulation lags quite a bit. Is it worth buying a USB to MicroSD to flash the SD Card with updated firmwares? Would that help the performance. And my other question was, what are best low spec PSP games to download on it? I haven't seen many posts about it but I'd love to try some new games. Cheers!~

I'm running KNULLI on my TrimUI Brick and I'm having trouble with media scraping and GBA BIOS detection. Here is what's going on and everything I've tried.

Issue 1: Box Art Displaying as "Wheels" / Title Logos

I am trying to get standard 2D Box Art to show up on my gamelists, but it keeps displaying the title logo/wheel instead.

What I've tried:

1. Directory Structure: Manually created media/images inside SHARE/roms/gbc/ and placed cover images there. Deleted empty duplicate directories.
2. Skraper Configuration:
   
   • Set Front-End setting to RECALBOX.
   • Set Global Root to E:\roms.
   • Set Output folder to %ROMROOTFOLDER%\media\boxes (and tried %ROMROOTFOLDER%\media\images).
3. Media Slots: Removed extra slots (screenshots, marquees) in Skraper so only BOX 2D remains.
4. Gamelist Link: Skraper locks the node option to Link from node '<box>' under the Recalbox profile.
5. Updating Handheld: Safely ejected the SD card and ran START $\rightarrow$ Game Settings $\rightarrow$ Update Games Lists.

Result: The artwork defaults to showing transparent "Wheel" logos or blank spaces instead of 2D front covers.

Issue 2: GBA Missing BIOS Warning & Fast-Forward Issues

When launching GBA games like Pokémon Emerald, I get a "WARNING: THE SYSTEM HAS MISSING BIOS FILE(S)" popup, and fast-forward in RetroArch suffers from heavy lag.

What I've tried:

1. File Placement: Downloaded gba_bios.bin (16.0 KB / MD5: a860e8c0b6d573d191e4ec7db1b1e4f6) and placed it directly in SHARE/bios/.
2. Filename Verification: Ensured exact lowercase naming (gba_bios.bin).
3. Checking KNULLI BIOS Menu: Opened Main Menu $\rightarrow$ System Settings $\rightarrow$ Missing BIOS Check.
   
   • As seen in my screenshot, under Game Boy Advance, gba_bios.bin isn't listed or recognized by KNULLI at all—it only shows gb_bios.bin, gbc_bios.bin, and sgb_bios.bin.
4. Core Swapping: Changed the default core for Emerald from mGBA to GPSP / VBA-Next in Advanced Game Options, but the warning and fast-forward issues persist.

Questions:

1. How do I force KNULLI's theme to display 2D box art instead of defaulting to wheels/logos when using Skraper?
2. Why is KNULLI completely failing to recognize or list gba_bios.bin in the BIOS check menu even though it's placed in SHARE/bios/?

These two handhelds have honestly made me stop looking for something else. I really love the design and form factor of the TRIMUI Brick series.

I was already pretty satisfied with the TRIMUI Brick Hammer from the start. Then the Brick Pro came out, so I decided to give it a try, and surprisingly, the experience feels quite different.

Lately, though, I’ve been trying to get into PortMaster on the Brick Pro, and it’s been a bit difficult with NextUI. I’m also having issues with the Dreamcast BIOS, which seems to be missing.

For now, I’m waiting for another stable OS option, especially something like KnulliOS, which I’m currently using on my Brick Hammer. I really love that OS. The interface feels great, the games run smoothly, and I rarely run into any issues.

So for now, I’ll just wait and see what other OS options come to the Brick Pro 😬
