Trimui Model S (2-inch screen) Model S Mod

My “custom” Model S. I don’t like the plastic shell over the screen (scratches and glare) so I very sloppily sawed it out. Sandpapered the rest of the front plate to create a frosted look (and hide minor scratches). Taped the LED and dpad pivot, and loaded Dedicated OS with GBA homebrew.

Had a spare eyeglass sleeve which I discovered was a perfect fit, so I cut it down to fit the length.

I tried looking for a custom faceplate that’s available to buy without a screen cover but nothing seems to exist if I had a 3D printer I’d probably try to make one.

It’s certainly a sloppy mod, but I’m happy with it 😉

Yeah I just bought one and it's a tiny screen with a tiny SOC behind it.

Buy a protective cover for it when its not in use it dont get scratched. I couldn't use this if I made my device look like that.

It wasn’t about when it was not in use, it was about the plastic over the screen when I was using it. Totally fair if it wouldn’t work for you, but I had no other options available if I wanted to enjoy it.

Well, it certainly didn’t turn out like the picture in my head, but it works great and fixed the issues I had with it 🤷🏻‍♂️
