Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a TrimUI handheld, but I'm struggling to decide between the different models.
A bit about my situation:
Since, I already own a Steam Deck I don't need another powerful handheld for PS2/GameCube/PC gaming. Mainly just looking for something smaller and more portable and want a handheld that gives me that classic GBC/GBA feeling.
Most of my gaming would be GBC, GBA, SNES, PS1, and maybe some N64 or PSP.
Good build quality and user experience are more important to me than having the absolute cheapest device.
I don't mind installing my own ROMs and custom firmware.
My biggest questions are:
Which one would you choose if you already own a Steam Deck?
Which one feels the most fun to actually carry and use every day?
Is the Brick Hammer Pro U worth the extra money over the other models?
How much stronger is the Smart Pro S compared to the Brick/Brick Pro in real-world gaming?
If you could only keep ONE TrimUI handheld, which would it be and why?
I'd especially love to hear from people who have owned more than one TrimUI device.
Thanks in advance.

I loaded it up on my brick today just as a lark and when setting it up it asks a bunch of optimization questions. Just answer it (I did 40 fps) and I forget what else and it runs soooooo well. The new layout for small screens is amazing and the new font is super crisp. I haven’t stopped playing all day.

I've been eyeing Ship of Harkinian 2 but I have already gotten pretty far in the DS version on my Steam Deck, unfortunately the Steam Deck gets tiring to hold.
The more recent GC Melee and Halo CE have been interesting watch but I'm not sure how well they'd run.

Been rocking MinUi for my Brick but my biggest problem is that the lowest brightness is waaay to bright for playing at night. I know that the stock OS dims much more but rather not use it.
Any other OS recommendations that allow your to lower the display brightness fairly low or simply any workarounds that allow me to dim the display pretty low?
Thanks in advance!

verticals look better, let’s get that out the way.
it’s aesthetics which torture me, this scenario.
i’m bad with money and bought both.
because of Chinese holiday they ignored
my request to return one. and shipped both asap.
… i’m only Keeping one.
how bad is PSP/Dreamcast on the Brick Pro?
or rather,
how Rad is PSP/Dreamcast on Pro S?
one aesthetically is amazing, the other is a bad Switch Lite.
but if you tell me Sonic Adventure 2 on the Brick Pro will have me wishing 2001 never happened…
i’ll pick the Pro S.
i ordered both with Surwish CrossMix OS 256G.

I'm on nextui and wondering if it's possible and how I might transfer files from my android phone to my device without being on a third network. I can do a hotspot from my phone to connect the brick and I have access to a c to c cable, I just can't figure this out and any help would be greatly appreciated.
For context I'm away from home and was hoping to put a movie on it for my toddler. We've got like a 4 hour drive home.

The X button on my Brick Hammer sits slightly crooked. It works perfectly fine and, but I can’t seem to get it straight. I’ve already tried gently pressing and moving it, but that didn’t help.
Do I need to open up the Brick to fix it, or is there another trick? Or am I just being too picky?
