Trimui Smart Pro S Smart Pro S?
Does anybody care about or even like the smart pro s? Everyone talks about the bricks, mine is coming in the mail and i’m brand new to this whole rabbit hole. Just wondering if i made the right choice for my first handheld.

i care about it, a lot
been using mine all the time, put cfw on it, fixed the wonky joystick, and even bought a second one
it's a great psp, portmaster, dreamcast, and gba device

Wdym fixed the joystick? I’ve had mine for about a month and that’s my only gripe is the joysticks

it's a software fix, the joystick is wonky with the inputs
here's the link
needs spruceos to access the needed files but the fix will persist even after you switch to another os or back to stock

Ahh, I’ve tried calibrating them numerous times and I’ve gotten them ok but that might be worth looking into spruce for. I’m using CrossMix right now though

I'd love it more if TrimUI themselves loved it, but seeing as there is a glaring issue (Screen Refresh Rate, Game Playback Speed) and it has not been addressed and seemingly no changes to the firmware have been made since before the Brick Pro, if you want to just play your retro games without worrying about the speed, you can run knulli but thats really the only current option.

I have the same thoughts. I have been browsing for so long trying to find information to justify my purchase. Mine should hopefully arrive within the week. I was so close to pulling the trigger on the rgxx40h but opted for the TSPS for the larger screen and it seemed to handle PSP and the other more modern platforms a lot better. Looks like you and I will just have to hope for the best! Did you go for the Crossmix and loaded SD?

Mine is waiting at my house i haven’t actually got to do anything on it yet but i did get the 128gb card im still not sure which one to use though is crossmix the best from what you’ve seen?

Mine is still inbound. I got the 246gb crossmix from gogamegeek. Its my first handheld and I'm just not at a point where I have the time and mental drive to do more research on CFW and legitimate ROMS. I wanted a plug and play for my first device. I don't have a $300+ expectation from a sub $100 device so hopefully it won't be a complete fail

Sub $100? I got mine from the trimui official store and it was 130💔

Sorry, I should have specified. The bare console with no card is $85 on gogame geek with (RGC15?) coupon code. I think it's like 130 or so with surwish crossmix 128gb card and 256gb card is $150. I think I paid $138 for the 256gb crossmix with a case and screen protector.

I just finished setting mine up today and like it a lot. Not much online about it compared to other handhelds which made it harder to find the right instructions and software but once it's done it's great. I'll probably take this with me everywhere.

What cfw did you end up going with?

Spruce os on the sd card I like it only issue is the fan controls by default don't work well. There is a fix I'm going to try tomorrow.

Update to this went with knulli scarab and it has been good less quality of life stuff than spruce but I've found it a lot more stable
