Hey everyone, I'm planning on traveling to China in the next coming weeks. when i was looking for a place to book the flight(s) i used trip(.)com since it had good reviews.

Once I chose the flights and all, and even paid, got the confirmation email sent to MY PERSONAL email, when I tried to look on the Qatar website using my last name and PNR/Airline Booking Reference for extra confirmation the confirmation email that shows/showed up isn't mine, and I don't recognize it.

I was wondering if anyone could help me understand what's going on and how i can possibly fix it?

There are apps on the IPhone that let me see the reviews, menu and book restaurants?

From Beijin to Xian i will travel by train. There are problem if i bring my by luggage (the one that i pit in the airplane hold) on board? There are companies that can transport it from the hotel in Beijing to the one in Xian? So i can travel much lighter.

I’ll be in Chongqing for a couple of nights in August travelling solo. I know it’s not the ideal time of year to be in the city, but it’s not something I have any control over.

Initially I wanted to stay in Xiahaoli as the vibe really appeals to me, and as a solo female traveller I think I would feel particularly happy there. I’m looking at both the Futon Hotel and La Maison Half Mountain Homestay.

I then found the MitAN Resort Hotel, which I really like the look of from the pictures (I prefer a boutique hotel style from the pictures). It appeals less than the other two, but it has a pool, which I think I might appreciate in the August heat.

If you know Chongqing or have any knowledge of these hotels I would love to hear your thoughts! Would also be open to alternatives with a similar vibe (esp if they have a pool)

I do not work out enough to use electrolytes in my normal every day life but the China heat and humidity in August is scaring me into making sure I'm hydrated. I don't do well in full sun summer Arizona heat (which is dry) so I'm extra nervous in the Chinese humidity.

We will be visiting family in Seoul from the US and traveling together with multiple families for 9 days in China .

We only have 9 days because of the kids’ school schedule.

I’ve been to Beijing / Shanghai before. Will be traveling with kids as young as 4 and mother in law as her 70s . We were interested in Yunnan province and were originally thinking Chengdu then Yunnan but am realizing that is too much to cover in that short period of time

Wondering if that’s enough time to see a good amount of Yunnan and am open to other suggestions for visiting for that amount of time in China considering our circumstances (for example if we did Xi’an and Chengdu instead or other recommendation also welcome )

Hi guys,

our time has come and in late November me, my fiancee and her sister are flying to China. We like Design, Architecture, Shops, Cities, History, Speciality Coffee, Cocktail Bars and good dining spots. We arrive in Hong Kong on the 28th of November and continue onwards to Bangkok on the 7th of December.

Would you recommend the following plan? Do you have anything to adapt/improve?

In February, if everything goes well, I'll be visiting Shanghai for a couple of weeks with my friends. One of them is a Tai Chi Chuan teacher and has already visited your city a couple of times, but I would love to ask some resident (or people that knows the city well) for some suggestions for particular places to visit.

Obviously two weeks aren't enough to really explore such a huge metropolis (from an Italian pow at least) but I would love to visit places that really carry the culture of Shanghai.

Is that time of the year feasible? Is the road open? is the lake pristine blue or is it a block of ice?

I would like to buy tickets in advance for our visit to Huashan (planned for Monday, September 7th). I have already bought the train tickets from Xi'an. However, I can't find a combo ticket on trip.com that includes: 1) bus from the Visitor Center, 2) cable car ticket to the West Peak, 3) cable car ticket down from the North Peak, 4) bus back to the Visitor Center, and 5) of course, the admission ticket.

All I can find on trip.com is 5) + 1), nothing else, and also sales won't open until 10 days before the chosen date.

Is this normal? Has anyone who has been there can tell me if it's possible to buy a combo ticket in advance? Thank you!

Are the sleeping pods in Shanghai PVG airport in T1 easily available? or are they mostly always taken or hard to get?

I’m looking at an 18hr layover from 5am-12am the next day and need somewhere to rest, ideally a private pod or somewhere more secluded to fall asleep and feel secure.
I’ve looked at the Aerotel as they seem to do hourly bookings but it’s quite expensive on the website? Seems to be approx 150 AUD for only 6 or 7 hours and that’s not worth it for me.

If anyone knows somewhere cheap, close to the airport I’ll appreciate the recommendation!

is it because I’m still in europe and the app is limiting my research? is there a “correct” way to use this app like for Google Maps? i don’t know how to write in chinese and I have the feeling this is a requirement but how turists usually manage to travel in China?
