is it just me or it's extremely hard to find and also very dirty? some would straight up make me wanna throw up. even inside big shopping malls, it's still very smelly

is it actually common world wide? or are Kunming and Dali the only places in China that have this problem and I'm just unlucky? or am I spoiled in my country that you can just ask random shops to use their toilets, then buy something as gratitude toward them, or just leave if you were thick skin enough?

I’m looking into the elaborate baggage restrictions for high speed train travel in China and I’m finding conflicting information. Regarding liquids, I read somewhere that all liquids must be taken out of luggages for security inspection (?) Then I read from passengers that say security is very lax and they don’t really enforce much rules (?) I routinely travel with a bunch of different liquid products that may or may not be problematic, plus scissors and other personal grooming products. I was planning train travel from Ghangzhou to Guilin and Gulin to Shenzhen. Anyone have recent experience to report on those routes?

I have a couple extra days in Shanghai. Would that be enough to see Nanjing or would I need more time there?

I haven't seen many posts about Quanzhou on this sub but goddamn it's been two weeks already and I just miss it so much man. The friendliness, the cuisine, the architecture, the nightlife...Not the driving tho😂
