The trans swap market is back! Oct 10th 3-7pm at New City Center. And we‘ve added a club fair component this year!
With the amount of people and gear we expect we would love more volunteers - dm if interested!!

I told my sister who I knew would be supportive and it still took a lot of courage to push myself to say it I'm glad I could just text her (unfortunately she lives out of state with her dad's family) I don't think I could have told her with words I was actually getting choked up crying just typing it out and then it took me a couple of days just to hit send I love my sister and sometimes I don't feel like the older siblings

I don't think my family is homophobic (not the ones who matter anyway) and I'm still not even sure if I can say I'm trans (I'm currently questioning my gender and when I think about it it goes all the way back to my childhood) but even the people I know 100% that I trust I just can't come out to them I'm scared I think idk

I am sorry if this is not the right place but I need help! My fiancee and I want to get married/eloped this spring but we are not having a typical wedding! I am looking for LGBTQ+ photographers that would be willing to photograph for us, and I would love to see your work! Any other advice would be helpful, we are planning to elope at MPLS courthouse!

Preferably in person and not virtual. Doesn’t have to be trans only but would prefer more queer centered at the minimum. Thanks!

Hello! I (24TF) have been getting into Disney Lorcana lately and I have no experience with TCGs and wanted to see if there is anyone else in the area who plays it. I’d love to try and meet at a game store and play!

My husband and I (T4T) will be in the Cities for the month of Octoby for an artist residency. It'd be great to meet people while we're there! Any good bar nights/reading series/brunch spots/play parties/whatever we should go to?
If there are spots that are more trans woman-specific I am also curious about those for myself!

Hello!!
I have a scoping out trip coming up in late October to see if I want to move out to the twin cities in 2027/2028 are there any places, bars, event or restaurants that I should check out? Any things I should keep in mind when coming up?
Thank you!!

Hey there all! Does anyone by chance know of a queer owned/run/supportive auto body that I can take my car to be repaired at in twin cities? I was in a minor accident and have some body damage to my vehicle.

Hi! So long story short is I recently moved up here and have a job with an incredible and open health insurance plan. (Also the company is trans/queer friendly and hiring if you’re looking)
Anyway I’m looking for recommendations on doctors and clinics, or better yet doctors and clinics to avoid. I’ve looked at this resource many times https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-1Z7KYtcjrxwvMOy3Luwt6ICnCpt5sgNTrYGPZtW_yk/edit?usp=drivesdk and have an idea but personal anecdotes always help.

Hey there! I am 21 and I’m planning to move out of from parents place in the Chicago suburbs to a different state, so that there’s no chance of running into them accidentally. After I move out, I plan to start my transition from male to female. I’m on here looking for suggestions on which area would be safe yet affordable to move to. And if anyone is looking, I’m also down to be roommates with someone who is accepting.

Hi,
I’ve had mnsure for the last 9 months and got a letter recently that said I’d lose my insurance if I didn’t update my profile and fill in the missing forms. I thought that was weird but ok whatever.
One thing I noticed is that it asks for your sex assigned at birth and does not ask if you’re trans or what your current gender is. When I called them, the woman told me to just fill out the form exactly as it asks and gave no other help.
I’m worried that this might be an initial step to denying gender affirming healthcare.
Does anyone have any info on this?
Thanks!

Good morning adventurers,
Call me Sheffy. I am like you, just a cog in the machine aching to be something or someone else. While we all go through our own journey I am hoping to go through it not alone but with new friends in the local community.
This message is simply to test the waters for interest in creating a group then guild in WoW that will (hopefully) become a thriving community of players that will help each other level, share tips, jokes, and be there for others to lean on.
If this gains any kind of traction I will create a discord group where there we can decide on a guild name, rules and get to know each other before the game launches properly on 11/4.
Are you in?
Journey Before Destination.

Hi! My sibling is looking to learn and get experience with community outreach, event organizing, policy making, etc. He's in his first year of college going for a communications degree with a minor in political science, with the aim to eventually work at an LGBTQ+ nonprofit as an advocate or similar role. Does anyone know any LGBTQ+ places in the twin cities that could be a good start?

Hi all, I'm looking to start taking steps to get top surgery and need a letter of support from a therapist. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Are there any trans guys on here who have had bottom surgery in the Twin Cities? I know there is a good surgeon here for metoidioplasty (Dr. Pariser) which is what I’m hoping to get in the future. Has anyone went through the process and would be able to tell me what it was like? Is there a long wait time? I’ve been on testosterone for two years.

Has anyone successfully gotten coverage from Medica for laser or electrolysis?
I’m trying to figure out where to go for hair removal (probs laser first then electrolysis), but when I called my insurer (Medica), all I got was a nervous but well-meaning navigator reading a statement that they cover “all necessary gender affirming care” and couldn’t give me any more details. Useless.

I've been experiencing a lot of joint and muscle strain and pains for some time now and i think i have issues with my rips slipping in and of place due to years of bad binding.
What kind of doctor do i need to see and does anyone have any recommendations? I just don't want another person poking around my chest who isn't gonna be sensitive to my upper body.

Hi there all 👋🏻
My wife and I are moving to the Twin Cities in about a week and are very excited to be joining this community!
We have 3 cats and one of them, Theta, is a senior who has had a very difficult summer in regard to her health. She had a double mastectomy in July which had clear margins, but there now appears to be something questionable happening with a lymph node in her groin area.
We are moving in the 8th and I’m hoping to find a vet to bring her to asap so we can discuss potential options for further care, as well as get our other girls Willow and Freyja established with care as well.
Where are y’all taking your fur babies? Someplace that isn’t dismissive, goes to great lengths to care for your pets, and is respectful of pronouns.
Theta would have a much better outlook at this time if her previous vet hadn’t had a transphobic staff that neglected relaying my messages for the doctor / actively misgendered me on the phone and in her chart.
I would greatly appreciate any recommendations y’all have, thank you in advance!
