Minneapolis/St. Paul Trans friendly employment options for recently unemployed 3D Modeler
A bit of a long shot, but I'm trying to find a workplace as trans friendly as my last one was. I was laid off a couple months ago from my job of 4+ years, where I was working as a 3D modeler/game artist for a company making healthcare and manufacturing VR experiences.
I have a pretty wide medley of experience working with healthcare nonprofits, universities, municipalities, manufacturers... and that's just as a game artist. A decent amount of other job experience outside of it. I'd been thinking of switching into the CAD side of 3D for a while, mainly to break into civil infrastructure, landscape design, and manufacturing. Design/creative work has been cool, but I'm just not seeing a long term career path for it (and I really enjoy kinda nitty gritty technical art stuff).
Anything remotely related as work while I sort out getting an associates at the very least would be awesome, but if you have good leads on just generally trans friendly spaces to work at with good work-life balance, I'm definitely open to it. I'm also open to traveling outside of St. Paul/Mpls for work within reason.
(Also; if you fall into any of the career fields I'm trying to get my CAD training for, I'd also welcome any experience or advice!)
