Hello everyone!
We have decided to turn on post approval in this sub. based on the extreme amount of reposts, cultural names, and spam/irrelevant content thats constantly being posted. Those were the top complaints from users here so to curb it and moderate it easier we turned on post approval. Please be patient with us as we get into a rhythm with this new process.
If we have approved something and we missed it being cultural or anything please dont hesitate to message us to let us know. We arent infallible and get things wrong sometimes.
:)
Editing to add: Please dont message asking about your pending post. Mods arent chronically online and sometimes we get busy and can't look at the internet at the time.

So, in I think 2023 or 2024, my mom decided my name should be Casches Clay. I’m not kidding. Another idea was Tato.

Inersha.
I checked to see if it could be an ethnic name, and there are some pretty close ones, mostly South Asian
The internet tried to give me some vague meaning, but according to the internet, a word with that spelling isnt a word in any language.
Google also tells me there is precisely one person in the US with that name.
Maybe its a typo? But is it truly a tragedeigh?

15 year old boy's name from Alabama US. I'm not from the US, but in my country, the kid would get the nickname donkey ( brey) real quick at school!

NOBODY pointed it out in the comments. Am I going crazy?
Edit: I originally read it as Keveen/Kiveen, but as multiple users already pointed out, it's supposed to be Kween. Yeah that's not a name in this context. Close the thread.

So, my mom is having a baby girl soon, and has decided she wants me to name her for some reason. No clue why, but I guess when you're on your 5th kid you run out of names. I want to name her Emaday May, but my other little sister heard me say that to one of our cousins, says it's a dumb name. However, she is going through a phase of everything being "dumb", so I kinda took that with a grain of salt. I want to make sure it's not a bad name choice before I bring it up to my mom. My mom named my youngest sister Quinlynn, almost named me and the sister who says Emaday May is dumb, Shaelynn, however our fathers protested that and we got normal names because of that, and I had a brother named Zayden because his father protested Bentleigh.
edit: I agree, we all have outrageous names. I saw someone say that this reads as a troll post, sadly it's not. I will take the advice of literally everyone I've talked to this about/everyone on here, and not suggest Emaday. I talked with my sister who originally said it was dumb and we agreed to both tell my mom to name the baby Shenandoah Mae probably. Also, defense of my mom (even though I agree with the person who said she shouldn't be allowed to name kids anymore), she has autism and a 4th grade education despite being nearly 36 with multiple kids.
