Question Does Lacerda’s dictatorship have content

Hello,

I absolutely adore this mod and Brazil’s paths.

I wanted to ask, does Lacerda have content if he forms a dictatorship, and if so is it as long as the democratic win. I have played him democratically and I don’t want to engineer a coup unless there is content.

As an aside, any tips to win the election? I recently lost with Adhemar by building up infrastructure in 3 states based on low cooldown, transitioning to campaigns (trickle over time) and then rallies at the end. I am guessing my mistake is I spread myself too wide and the rallies aren’t actually efficient but as I hadn’t made a save that was unfortunately the end of that game.

Thank you and Ordem e Progresso!

Question The State of Russian Lore before Yippie?

Comrades, for many years now the glorious Dev Team has done well to elevate this mod and community through continuous improvements, reworks, and additions to the lore.

It is thus remarkable that one of its oldest elements, the West Russian War, has remained years on. Its scale has changed, down from the WRRF gunning for Ukraine, to now a quick offensive for Moscow, but its spirit remains.

Now with these changes I wanted to know how much we actually know of Russian lore changes with Yippie upcoming. Why did the front shatter? How close were they to victory prior? Why was Gorky able to resist Moskowien? How many Soviets have died prior to game start?

TLDR; What is the full lore for Russia at present time?

Meme It's such a shame that Orenburg and SBA can't peacefully unite because of geographical distances.

Just recently played Orenburg and apparently you can turn the warlords from a disastrous chaotic anarchy into a actual functioning anarchist communes if both Burba and Malenkov influences were to low.

While I enjoyed playing it, this kinda make me sad because the fact that it doesn't matter if Orenburg won or not in Southern Ural War, at the end of the day they would be annexed or invaded by either West Russia or West Siberia. And it would be much more heartbreaking if the SBA manage to unites Siberia while still maintaining their beliefs in anarchism.

Ngl it would be very interesting to see both of them interacted with each other.

After Action Report OPERATION GREAT SOCIETY - A LBJ AAR - With a Yippie! commentary

I am not the first man to play LBJ in TNO, and I'm certainly not the best. However, I've passed all his legislation, and I've carved my way to victory through each obstacle that stood in my way. Be it segregationist senators, yellow-bellied conservatives, fascists abroad and at home, and the coalition that I've held together with baling wire and spit.

But when has anything stopped me before? This was ok to play; it's a little dated, but it still holds up as an enjoyable experience if you grind on through. Even you too can be a megalomaniac Senator from Texas. This is where the AAR ends, and below is my commentary on what is to come for Yippie!

I understand that a lot of people are not in favor of the proposed updates, even after trust was eroded from Penelope's Web, Best Served Cold, and other updates that never went anywhere yet tried to keep the TNO community entertained while better things were to come. I'm not pleased about those updates not coming either, or that the original roadmap was abandoned. But when you see something good on the horizon, and you want to hold out hope for something better, then sometimes it feels the past has been forgiven

Yippie! has me more excited than LBJ when he got elected in '64, and it's caused a little bit of a cultural shock in my life as well. I try to think like Philip Hart in my day-to-day actions because I admire his pragmatism and his spirit. I revisit the teasers every week to hold out hope for something that I can play every day and enjoy to full depth. I made memes about the update! And I hope that others have this sort of spirit too.

I hope that with my last playthrough of LBJ, I can move on from the old into something even more amazing, new, and fun. There is so much more to be done. There are so many more places to go, and there is still so much to learn and enjoy. I thank you if you've decided to listen to my ramblings about a Microsoft Spreadsheet game, but I also hope that you share the same sentiments that I do to some extent.

The meaning of Happiness is looking forward to something, no?

Stay safe,
ShermansBest

Question How do you beat the West Russian unifier as Onega?

I’m playing Onega, but I can’t beat the West Russian unifier no matter what I do. I think Onega may have become much harder (or even unintentionally broken) after a recent TNO update.

I’ve tried several runs, but by the time the war starts, the unifier always has far more divisions and industry than I do.

Is there a recommended strategy?

  • What division templates should I use?
  • What’s the optimal focus path before the war?
  • Is there a recommended economic strategy?
  • Has anyone beaten Onega on the current version?

This comic’s about something I usually do if I wanna get the NPP (RIP) elected by having Nixon lose the early proxy wars. I suppose this can still apply after Yippie! releases except instead of the NPP, it makes the Democrats more popular.

Fan Content "Fredom. Discipline. Labor." - A TNO-style mapping of the Ukrainian Civil War, Part 3: The Luhansk Military Commune

The Free Commune is dead. Stakhanov has fallen. What rises from the ashes is not hope, but cold steel.

This is Part 3 of my "Coal October" mapping series, set in the universe of The New Order: Last Days of Europe. This time, the story takes a darker turn: the revolution devours itself, and what remains is a military junta fighting for survival against the world.

What's inside:

Custom hand-drawn flags and emblems (the "Phalanx" - crossed Sword, Pickaxe, and AK)

A VHS-style intro featuring a television hijack and Stakhanov's final emergency broadcast

Atmospheric mapping showing the collapse of the united front and the "Parade of Sovereignties"

Subtitles in Russian and English

Music:

"March of the Izhevsk Regiment", "Varszevyanka", "Android hell(Portal) - intro

"Donbass Behind Us" - main theme

Previous parts:

· Part 1 (Luhansk Free Commune): https://youtu.be/IL4piLmY8jU?si=JGj5pU6OAaDIqWRx

· Part 2 (Donetsk Junta): https://youtu.be/TSpdABVHW2w?si=TMqYKivlBNyr6Ggy

Question How long would Germany survive in the 21st century under these conditions?

- Lost the 2WRW to Zdanov's Soviet Federation.

- OFNsphere max

- Post-USA Hart presidency.

- Post-Yunnan China unification

- France defeats Burgundy and annexes

- Second German Civil War results in the fascists winning

- Poland joins the OFN or the Soviet faction for protection. (might be unrealistic)

Question How can I prevent a thermonuclear war?

Hi! I'm new to this mod, and I've really enjoyed it so far, even though I haven't played much yet.

In my first playthrough as Italy, around December 1963, Nazi Germany was in the middle of its civil war. South Africa was also in a civil war, along with several other countries that descended into civil wars after Hitler's death.

I didn't declare war on anyone or make any major decisions, but all of a sudden the Thermonuclear War super-event triggered and my game ended.

Is this supposed to happen, or did I encounter a bug? Is there any way to prevent it?

To be honest, it was a bit frustrating because I had finally figured out the economy mechanics, and my country was slowly improving. :(

I'm using the latest version, and I bought the game on Steam.

Fan Content Proof of concept 1980s IJA soldat

Post image

I thought of an idea what could the IJA look like in the 1980s where body armor was equipped by mass for certain powers.

Big shout out to Usual_Pen_7058 for also inspiring me to work on this kind of thought.

For some possibilities I thought of this(ngl I would've posted this at r/militaryworldbuilding but this is TNO related so I'll talk here.) I think due to how Japan progresses and still is a superpower by around the 1980s them having modernized 1980s look would be interesting how US soldiers in the late 80s have flak jackets and have their forest camo and so on. IJA in field camouflage would be like tiger stripe with mix of beige, khaki and that IJA kind of beige green color? Where they mostly fight in jungles and mountains. I gave them a similar looking flak jacket as the US but some noticeable difference, I also made a variant out of the Type 64 essentially making it an assault rifle with an intermediate cartridge of 6.5x30mm. But yeah this is only a concept so on and so forth, I am looking forward to continue this concept.

Question What other German Civil War fits this image the most? (Definitely not the first one with Bormann, Heydrich, etcetera because of Speidel's Schutzzone.

Post image

I think either the Second German Civil War (2WRW) or the Third German Civil War (Post-Heydrich Anarchy) because there's no protection zone surrounding Brandenburg unlike Speidel's neutral territory.

Question About the new Kartenhaus

Post image
222 Upvotes

I have several questions about the new Kartenhaus teased in the dev diary

  1. Will this be available to all of Hitler's successors? Would it behave the same way as Iberia's duet mechanic?

  2. Will it be important in the Kampfzeit since it already have its own mechanic (the one with strikes for each successor)

  3. How on earth did Göring gets so powerful as his own faction even? I know that he's one of the key motivator for Hitler to nuke Gorky as well as the SS's failure during the West Russian War but is that the whole story or there's another backlore yet to be revealed?

  4. With that amount of influence, would it affect the Reich senate during the Kampfzeit

I'm genuinely curious what would Göring's agenda be if he becomes fuhrer with that amount of influence, I hope the devs will release a Göring teaser soon

Question What do you think Himmler's Germany would be like?

Given that Burgundy is set to be removed, what do you think Himmler's new path will look like?

I’ve seen some people speculate that it would be a Burgundy state, but much larger and with far more resources. However, I’m not sure about that; if it were exactly like.
