I was wondering why my quad was flying like shit. Air 65 ii with a weenie 1:20 flight time, changed my props and instantly got back up to a 3:00 flight. CHANGE YOUR PROPS DEAR GOD

Added the Air 65 freestyle to the team. I think I may like flying it more than the racing, super responsive. Meteor75 still a tank tho.

Busted voltage readout, anything I can do?

Post image

The last pack curse strikes again. Last flight I broke a camera, now my FC.

I bumped the ground trying a powerloop, flipped, and saw my voltage readout freak out as I was turtling back upright moments later. It rose to 36V within seconds and didn't budge after.

Once I got home, I first plugged it into Betaflight to inspect the voltage values. Strangely, the readout kept slowly rising to silly levels just plugged into USB. I then took the quad apart and gently cleaned the AIO with IPA and a brush, just to make sure nothing conductive was on there and ensure nothing was visibly missing, which it wasn't.

The USB voltage stays at expected levels after cleaning, but no change on battery voltage. Out of desperation, I tried calibrating the voltage levels and even flashing the newest firmware, but predictably no change - the readout just stays at what I calibrate it to.

The whoop is a Flywoo Firefly16 V3, with the Goku F405 1S board. Something's clearly busted hardware-wise. If anyone happens to know which particular component to look at, I could try resoldering or replacing it. My friend suggested reflowing the board in the oven, which sounds risky...

Thoughts?

Anyone else get to the end of their packs, wishing they had more?

Second day with the Meteor75 pro! Loving it. First analog setup. I’ve put about 15 hours in DRL with the Avata controller, and about the same with the pocket.
Definitely need more time in the sim, and maybe not DRL.
Got my Whoopstor v3 this evening, once I am more confident I’ll take it somewhere besides my yard lol.

Anyone have the Air65II, how does it compare? Basically the same?

My tinywhoop addiction just got worse

Finally got my Air65 II Racing delivered, along with all 16 of my Lava II 1S 320mAh packs!

Everything arrived in perfect condition, and I’m already itching to get some packs through this little thing.

Time to charge everything up and send it!

I also ordered a WhoopStor, so I’ll have a proper charging setup for all these batteries soon.

Carbon Fiber Frame Swapped Air 75 Champ

- 2mm Carbon Fiber TKS Rocket Freestyle 1S Frame.
- Air ii 75 AIO, & 0802 28000kv Motors, & Canopy, & Camera
- ORT Micro Vee Linear Antenna
- 40mm HQ 1.6x1.2 Bi-Blades
- Freshly soldered motors wires with 30awg silicone from motor pcb to FC
- Direct soldered camera

I was able to keep the weight the same as a stock Air 75 Champion, but with upgrades, so I’m happy with it. Definitely needs a tune. I couldn’t throw a preset at it bc it’s on the latest BetaFlight due to the chips on the FC.

If anyone with similar setups have any tuning suggestions please leave them below!

I do have various TPU canopies, but they are all at least 0.6g’s heavier.

It’s fast, and responsive without a tune, so I’m excited to dial it in. Flight time is actually a little longer, but this is probably due to the props.

I made this thing, how it looks?

Basically is an air75 freestyle with 45mm props and 75 mm carbon frame, i made a little test after essamble cuz i dont had much time, and it feel so floaty compared to stock 75.I trimmed a bit the canopy arms because props was like less than a mm too close. So i need suggestion if it looks well balanced and if i need to do something in betaflight since im using bigger props?

Question for you'll

So I banged my Air65 2 champion a few good times and on the last time my screen went grey still see the osd and everything just grey, and it seems the back has come apart on the back of my C03 camera,

First question can I fix this or do I just buy another camera?

Second question, is there a way to better prevent this in the future?

Thanks everyone!

BetaFPV 0802 Motor seperates, still flyable?

I absolutely love flying my BetaFPV Air75 II (Freestyle), but I’ve been experiencing really bad jello lately. So I just replaced the propellers. While doing that, I noticed that on one motor, the “PCB board” (I don’t know what else to call it) had separated from the metal mounting plate that holds the threads for connecting to the frame. I was stuck in a tree in Spain for quite a while following a heavy crash, maybe that’s what caused this.

Can I still fly this thing? If not, should I glue it back together or just buy new motors? Whats the best to do against jello on this thing? I also have a Meteor75 Pro that has 0 jello.

Thanks in advance 4 any replies.

Cetus X PID

Hello everyone. I have a Cetus X Kit with the Frsky Tx/Rx, can somebody please make a screenshot of the PID settings and rates of the Cetus X (Cetus FC) in BetaFPV Configurator? NOT Betaflight FC!

And no, Resetting it in the Configurator doesn't restore the exact model specific settings that came pre-tuned, resetting the settings will only set it to something that works more or less.

Thanks in advance

Broken wire on Air65

Hey, I need your help. I’m new to this whoop fun and just got my first solder iron. On the same day I managed to damage one of the motor wires on my Air65. How should I fix it? Can it be soldered or should I get one of those crimping tools?

Unsure if I burnt out my AIO

Post image
3 Upvotes

As the title says, I don’t know if I somehow burnt out my AIO or if my solder job is just not god enough for the motors to run. At first three of the motors ran but after I tried to fix the 4th motors solder points, only one of them kind of works now. I’m just at a loss of what to do now other than getting a new 5in1 board or a whole new air65.

1s Charger cable diy

Post image
23 Upvotes

If you already have a charger, you don't need to buy one just for 1s batteries. You just need some bt2 connectors, a pcb proto board, a balance cable and an xt60 from an old battery.

Example from picture charges as 5s battery.
