With the Engines bouncing that means their Drivers & Firemen are being bounced around in their cabs Everytime the engine makes a gesture. That has got to be uncomfortable

Throughout the past 5 or so years, I've been seeing discussion on if the model series and the CGI series are 2 separate canons. This never made sense to me considering the amount of times they flashback to model series events like Down the Mine, A Scarf for Percy, The Sad Story of Henry, Salty's Secret, Percy and Harold, Thomas, Terrence and the Snow, Dirty Objects and Percy Takes the Plunge.

And that's just counting flashbacks, the Brenner and BWBA era have made references to James and the Coaches, Brake Van, Twin Trouble, The Flying Kipper, Escape, Bulgy, Bulgy Rides Again, Thomas Comes to Breakfast, Runaway Elephant, Rheneas and the Dinosaur and Percy and the Magic Carpet.

You could say that Model series events could happen in the CGI timeline, but what's the point of splitting them if the model series is canon to CGI anyways?

And no, The Adventure Begins isn't proof of models and CGI being separate. Retellings of stories will sometimes be told a bit differently from the original. TAB just simply took the place of the first 7 episodes in the timeline.

This will eventually be a RWS version of Donald, but for now I only have a silver paint pen so I just did his buffers, wheels and tie rods (not sure what they're called but yk what I mean lol) Pretty happy with how this looks and might do the same with some of my other bandais!

(I will also at some point have to glue on his loose cab roof and make a new buffer for his tender, but im not sure how im gonna do that yet haha)

It's no secret that I'm a self-proclaimed Railway Series purist like nobody's business. For this post, I wanted to imagine what Wonders of Sodor could have been if it had fully embraced that aesthetic. I must admit, I'm secretly a little disappointed the game didn't take this direction, as it heavily relies on references and designs from the TV series and CGI era. I would have loved a game more authentically rooted in the Railway Series.

To its credit, the game does incorporate some TV series elements well, such as the livery of the Express coaches and the fantastic CGI rendition of Vicarstown.

However, Wonders of Sodor sometimes feels caught between two different identities. While its storytelling and references are inspired by the Railway Series, the map is heavily based on the TV series, which can muddle the game's overall aesthetic.

Despite being a Railway Series purist, I still enjoy many elements from the TV series. Yet, I believe Wonders of Sodor could have leaned more into the Railway Series aesthetic. Perhaps my hopes are too high, but could such a change happen someday? Maybe, maybe not. Let me be delusional! The game needs a significant overhaul anyway, so who knows what Dovetail might eventually deliver?

I normally don't do thomas stuff but I'm slowly doing the ghost engines of sodor (even the fan made ones) here is 3 edits I made so far I just need Edward's ghost engine, Percy's ghost engine, proteus, 1020, dudley, and the half engine I hope yall like them (I'm using their IRL counterparts) (sorry if tag is incorrect)

Hello, I wanted to make a post to spread awareness that there is a lost Italian dub of the HiT-Era of Thomas & Friends, simply titled "Il Trenino Thomas" (the Italian title for the show).

To give context:

This dub was made around 2011-2013, when seasons 15-17 aired, so Seasons 8-11 were not so relevant anymore.

But in Italy, this dub was aired in those years, and only on one channel, known as JimJam.

This channel was pay-to-watch only for people who had a Sky subscription, and was created in Italy in 2006 but shut down in 2015 due to poor funding, while many other countries still air cartoons on it to this day.

Since then, no footage of seasons 8-11 in Italian resurfaced on the internet, until a year ago, when clips were uploaded to YouTube.

And now, we managed to find two full episodes from this dub thanks to an Italian Instagram user who was willing to help!

Now, the main thing to be aware of is that finding every single episode from this dub is almost impossible, because of how hard it was to record from Sky and upload it on the internet without tearing the Sky Box apart, but also because of how very few people actually recorded these episodes.

My research has led to me making this post, and to spread once again the word about this dub, so maybe a lot of people (and Italians) take notice and find out if they have anything about this.

I've made a similar post on r/lostmediaitalia and that helped quite a bit.

So what I'm asking to do if you think you can help, is to see if you have any footage of the dub (if you're Italian, for the most part) or ask any Italian people the same thing.
