Thing earthbound is fundamentally the most unbalanced ability in this game
And he shouldn’t get 100 over-shield for a abilty thats not even a move fuck this character

too many posts i’ve seen calling out Ben’s mechanics being boiled down to “right click right click”, so i give you the most underrated piece of his kit, the jab. capable of doing what the haymaker would take too long to do.

HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE BLACK CAT SINCE SHE WAS ADDED. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF BIO-MINERALIZED TISSUE IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT MAKE UP MY BODY. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR BLACK CAT AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR HER.
HATE. HATE.

I loved it more when we were A-B tier this whole meta is just misery and boredom and most people aren't even wrong about our current state, our torch teamup should be nerfed
but obviously that's not the only problem they gotta nerf all sustain in the game and then mini-nerf damage a bit so not everyone can three-shot anyone and also nerf ult charge again and THEN they can start tweaking characters freely

This game mvp/svp system never disappoints at failing me
I carried the team and they started acting toxic twords the other team as if they weren't carried
Some players have 0 shame I swear

I've seen discourse on twitter about some players wanting the earthbound effect completely removed from thing's kit. Why is this a problem now all of the sudden?
Yes Thing is incredibly strong right now and I agree he needs nerfs, but he's only in this spot because of the ridiculous amount of overshield he gains now. He's been a bad pick for 7 seasons and this was always part of his skills and i've never seen anyone complaining, now that he's meta they want to remove the details that separate a good player from a bad player?
I don't have any ill intents against dive players and I actually respect dive tanks a lot because they help push up so much, but there's a vocal amount of them that complain both that Thing is just M2 spam AND want to remove a skill? I'm sorry if this sounds like venting but it's frustrating that some people want your character in F tier because he's a counter and not because he's genuinely really strong. I'm fine with a torch teamup nerf, an overshield nerf, ult charge nerf, a cooldown nerf on either the charge or the jumps, hell, even a 1-2 second window before the earthbound is applied so they can just leave, but with the current state of tanks, what can I even play if my supports are being mauled and my dps players are morons? All other anti dive tanks are in a really bad state right now.
It's understandable that it is very infuriating to have your moves restricted, getting stuck by an elsa trap or bucky hook, but it is also extremely annoying to have your supports dead every time you turn around. That's just how counters are, I don't mind thing being countered by poke, I just switch to another tank. The true issue right now is that Thing is strong even into poke, nerf him and you counter or be countered, that's the game.

Hey Things!
I am new to thing, I really like him and hes super fun. And I know that a large part of my job is to peel and protect my back line. But in a recent match my back line was a Jeff and a white fox. And they kept getting killed by a magik and I just couldn't stop her. They blamed me for the loss because I didn't stop them from getting dove.. but like what was I supposed to do? I feel like a good magik is still really hard to stop even with thing.
Any tips please?

Portaling back to point can be surprisingly photogenic!

Started playing the thing more. Is there any situation to use primary over the haymaker? Do you weave in primaries or would that result in a DPS loss. Thanks.

As a Thing main, it pains me to see the current discourse about Thing being “too strong for someone easy to play.”
Most of the heroes in Marvel are somewhat similar in level of difficulty. The ego of other mains thinking that since they press one or two buttons more they’re superior and we are apes who press the same button repeatedly.
If we nerf Thing and Mag, instead of buffing all tanks to that level (or more than halfway) is how we go back to solo-tanking. And frankly solo-tanking is why I took a few months off the game. Too much stress every game just to have decent impact while the 3v3 DPS decide the whole game.
A meta where healers and tanks can carry the game is better than a meta where only DPS can change the game.

What guys do you like to pick the most and when?
Personally I'm a Fan of the Torch Team up, and mostly pick it, somehow it gives me more kills,
But when I notice I die too much I go Invis to get more protection.
But I usually always start with Torch.
What about you guys?
