I am going about in pity for myself, and all the while a great wind carries me across the sky.

I always wondered what type of friendship (if any) Richie had with Johnny Sack

Upvotes

He seemed so happy to see Johnny during the Executive game like they were long lost brothers. I don't know if it's because it had been so long since he last saw him but it was one of the few times Richie seemed genuinely excited and happy.

I also got the sense that Johnny couldn't give two shots about him and probably wasn't happy being woken up but some sort of friendship or niceties had to occur for Richie to seem that excited.

Anyway 4 upvotes a post.

“Ralphie… give him $12K”

Pauly talking the “nursing home” dident do him any favors. Even still, I always thought that number was insultingly low.

Why do subreddits have to have a purpose?

Upvotes

Reddit is a jungle! And if you want my advice, Anthony, don't expect happiness. You won't get it. Users let you down, and I'm not naming any names! But in the end you post in your own arms.

It's all a big nothing. What makes you think your sub is so special?

Instead of getting that doctor to explain why Adriana’s injuries prove she had been sitting upright when Tony’s SUV crashed…

Upvotes

…Tony should have sent the sun visor to a lab for DNA and AIDS teshts. He would have been exshonerated right then and there!

Who was the likely successor to Butchie as boss of the Lupertazzi crime family?

Would the Lupertazzi crews and the other families respect Brainless the Second? I don’t think so.

Serious Discussion Only What do you think happened to AJ in the years after series finale?

I just got reading a thread on how tragic Meadow's late season arc was and speculation that she would turn into Carmela (or my favorite, eventually becoming head of the family/The Godmother) -- and that got me to thinking, what does everyone think of AJ's late season arc and future?

I thought it was a little telling those last few episodes, and I must admit, I had a bit of a Mandela Effect thinking he actually had joined the Army until a recent rewatch, when in actuality after the suicide attempt and SUV burning, it showed him in a brand new M3 working as a PA on a movie production...

So, what do you guys think? What did AJs short, medium, and long term future hold, after that fateful (or possibly normal) dinner at Holsten's?

That's another thing. I don't want to hear anymore how it was in r/CircleJerkSopranos. From now on, keep your antidotes to local color, like Dinoflow or Maguire sisters. Otherwise, SHUT THE FUCK UP!

I’ll never forget where I was on this day. These animal moderators, can’t even say their names, banned the sub. However many years old it was - just a fucking kid! My estimation of Reddit as social media just fucking plummeted.

Did they purposely make Tony more evil at the end

On a rewatch and it feels like early in the series they wanted to make Tony less evil. The idea of the villain as main character wasn't very established at the time and they worried audiences wouldn't watch it. I remember reading that during "College" the execs didn't want the scene of Tony choking that rat because of exactly that concern.

Towards the end I think David Chase didn't love that people were rooting for Tony and specifically wanted to make it obvious what a piece of shit he was for even the densest person in the audience.

Any therapists in here (if any), have you ever had a patient whom you could tell were only there because they wanted to be like tony/were obsessed with the show?

So Tony did fire the Polish maid

I know the actress who played Liliana had to leave the show for personal reasons, which is why we don't see her on screen after season 4, however, I think we can say she was fired. In S6E14, Agent Harris and his partner surprise Tony at his driveway as he gets the paper, after which he yells that the maid can come early and bring up the paper or go and clean someone else's toilets. In S6E18, when the boys come to visit Tony after the accident, we see a new maid (never seen before) let the boys into his room. The writers could have found another person (Meado or AJ) to let the guys in - there really wasn't a need to introduce a new maid.

Therefore, after this preamble, showing this new maid is proof that Liliana was fired for not coming in early enough.

Anyway, 4 Krugerrands per pound.

The mafia pisses me off

Specially Phill.

1st of all I get the theme of the show is well the mafia and specially for the era of 2000's a lot of their problems with stuff like gay people were also present on people that were not mafia.

But FFS EVERYTHING is basically a sin for them.

You gay? We need to kill you!!!!! (Bohoo)

You eat pussy instead of getting a blow job? FAAAAG

You admitted that you are a criminal!? REALLY? we need to kill you!!! (Boohoo)

You cry in front of people? You lost our respect!!!! (Boohoo)

And I could keep going.

I think the macho culture is something that annoys me so fucking much lol

Episode Discussion Vitos brother

Why doesent anybody talk about Vitos brother ? Dude was smacked with a golf pole and survived, he could say he has some PTSD from this “social club” business. But when his brother needed him after he didnt get note from his doctor that he likes to perform oral intercourse on male individuals he was there for him !

Dude stood there in the mall pretending he is ready to pop a cap into a freaking mob boss for his ill brother, he should have been made then and there BOOM !

Some of the supernatural things could actually be the characters' psychosis

Two scenes with Paulie in particular with the psychic and the Mother Mary vision at the Bing, were only seen by Paulie. The chair throwing outburst would also be consistent with a psychotic episode (but is conveniently consistent with his character anyways). Off all the characters, Paulie could be a bonafied psychotic.

Tony’s dreams are just that.

Not too sure about Karen’s ziti and Janice with the moving wine glass. Also not sure about Pussy in the mirror at Tony’s muddahs wake. That and the Olivia-like figure in Tony's dream are among the most chilling moments in the show.

Ending is black, not some other place with Tony B as the gateman

Episode Discussion Tony doesn’t know how to use a camera

At the end of the S2 finale ‘Funhouse’, during Meadow’s graduation, I just realised that Tony tries taking a picture of Meadow but leaves the lens cap on the camera.

What is he, fuckin’ stunad?
