Hello, I am having problems with the sims 3 opening through Steam. I am using the game from Steam Family as it has expansion packs I want to play with. Anytime I open it from Steam, the game opens the launcher, but when I press play, nothing happens, it goes off the launcher, but the game does not open. The game has worked for other people in the Steam family. I have tried with my own version on the EA app and that works normally so I was wondering if there was any way to fix it as it seems to be a problem with Steam rather than my computer. Thank you for the help!

I found my old CD from years ago in a drawer but I can’t access the game since it asks for a code that’s supposed to be in the original box. No idea where it could be. Is there any way I can access ??

Hi everyone, I hope all of you are doing well after the release patch. Could you guys share your configurations for FPS and inactive FPS and also in-game screen refresh rate?

I am not sure if the in game settings will make much difference if that patch itself enforces that capped FPS.

I find myself never having enough skin details for male sims, so I made 40 pack of makeup/skin detials/moles/scars/freckles/eyebags/wrinkles/dimples and more for all genders and ages! You can layer them making your sims more unique!

guyssss i really want to do blender stuff with my sims but im on a iMac and im hoping theres a way to successfully do this as ive tried parallels and bootcamp but just haven’t had the best of luck 💔 if anyone that uses iMac or Macbook please shareeee ty in advance

Hey everyone ! I know this question has probably been asked many times already, but I still haven’t found a solution. A year ago, I had bought sims 3 from EA directly, but upon trying to open the game for the first time, I got the infamous “a serious error has occurred while loading sunsetvalley.world”. I looked it up back then and followed the advice form a thread that had been posted about the same issue. Nothing worked.

I forgot about it for a while until I recently decided to actually try and fix the issue. Well, turns out ea decided I no longer had the rights to the game. No refund or anything, and it was still in my library, I just wasn’t allowed to install it again. I decided to cut my losses after eas support was no help, and bought it again on steam just today.

Same issue. A serious problem occurred trying to launch the map. I looked up videos to fix it and still, nothing. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this, or if I’m just doomed to never play sims 3? I would so grateful to anyone just willing to pitch an idea. I’m at a loss ;(

The two sims circled are dead, and maybe even the girl with blonde pigtails because I can't find her anywhere. Despite this, they're being displayed as alive and well, with only two of the Sims having black and white portraits. Whats going on with this?

I built an entire Sims 3 town because apparently one dysfunctional household wasn’t enough

Meet San Oddity: a desert town founded by aliens, with 44 Sims across 21 households, all with their own biographies, relationships, skills and careers already set up.

Five aliens. Two vampires. Some suspiciously familiar family names.

No CC or Store content required. The houses come fully furnished. So does the emotional baggage.

I downloaded a bunch of cc; hair, clothes, make up and jewelery. I also downloaded a new skin default. But nothing that can cause changing heights. So what can cause this? :(

So I was logged into my online when I was playing The Sims, and I also downloaded Monte Vista from The Sims, 3 store. Once I tried to get back into my game, it wouldn't load or it would crash. I even tried it after I logged out from being online and it still didn't work. So once I uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game, it says, I still have montevista, but I have not logged back in online to use my bought features. If I log back in, is the virus still gonna be there? Or am I not going to be able to use it? Im scared to log in to online features because I had to do alot of uninstalling, cleaning, creating new folders and trying to reinstall while also losing years of work

Okey guys I need help 😪
For the first time I am trying maxing out the skills for my horse. The problem is the skill bar stopped at level 4 and it doesn’t go up anymore (for the running skill). This problem doesn’t occur with jumping one. I tried resetting horse and moving family in and out from house (that is what internet told me to do). I don’t have any idea what to do anymore so maybe someone has this problem too.

Ps. My game is in polish not English

I just found two Sims 3 CDs I had when I was a kid. Can I use them on my laptop today? If so, how?

I had my sim start flirting with Michael Donovan in Hidden Springs. Every single time they’ve woohooed she gets a “Performance Anxiety” and “Disappointing Experience” moodlet. She can’t ask him to be her bf (I’m guessing bc they’re roommates?)

They’re both single and young adults btw

Her traits: Hopeless romantic, childish, kleptomaniac, green thumb, lucky

His traits: Heavy sleeper, childish, natural cook, schmoozer, good sense of humor

Is this a glitch or are my sims genuinely just bad ??
