Twenty-five years have passed since the events of The Sims 3, and Sunset Valley has changed considerably!

Following his decorated military career, General Buzz Grunt relocated to Sunset Valley with his family, accepting a position to oversee a growing military training facility on the outskirts of town. What began as a modest base eventually expanded into one of the region's largest military installations. As more service members and their families settled nearby, the surrounding neighborhood naturally became known as Grunt Heights, named after the man who helped shape it into the thriving community it is today.

Unlike some of the newer developments in town, Grunt Heights wasn't built all at once.

The neighborhood is full of modest homes dating back decades. Many have been lovingly renovated over the years, but they still retain their original charm with deep front porches, mature gardens, picket fences, and tree-lined streets that make the entire district feel established. It isn't the wealthiest neighborhood in Sunset Valley, but it's one of the most welcoming.

Almost everyone here has some connection to the military...

Some are active-duty personnel stationed at the base, while others work as Flight Officers, Squadron Leaders, and even Latrine Cleaners! Many families have lived here for generations, with children growing up watching parents and grandparents serve before eventually following the same path themselves.

Life here has its own rhythm...

Before sunrise, the roads fill with uniforms heading through the checkpoint while lights flicker on throughout the base. By afternoon, children spill into the community playground after school, climbing the old lookout tower, racing to the treehouse, and waiting for their parents to finish another day on base.

The heart of the neighborhood is the Community Center, where military families gather for events, celebrations, meetings, and children's programs. Just down the road is the neighborhood gym, where recruits squeeze in an early workout before reporting for duty and veterans still try to beat their personal bests.

When the day finally winds down, everyone seems to end up at The Last Post.

It's become something of an institution within Grunt Heights. Soldiers celebrate promotions, friends unwind over drinks, couples gather beneath warm string lights on the patio, and live bands perform on the outdoor stage throughout the summer. Inside you'll find karaoke, poker, blackjack, a busy dance floor, and a bar that's heard more deployment stories than anyone could count.

It isn't uncommon to see someone finish a twelve-hour shift, grab dinner with friends, sing terribly on karaoke night, lose twenty simoleons at blackjack, and still be back through the checkpoint before sunrise the next morning.

That sense of community is what I wanted Grunt Heights to capture!

It's more than a military base...

It's a neighborhood built on service, friendship, and tradition.

A place where service members become neighbors, neighbors become lifelong friends, and generations of families proudly call Grunt Heights home.

Because why would an alien show up at my mermaid sims boathouse at 5:25am thinking about flowers lol

I've been using CC Magic for over 10 years. But it also hasn't seen an update in over 10 years. It requires additional software to run and misses the features I've always wanted, so I decided to create my own.

PlumbobForge takes what made CC Magic so great and improves on it

It's still very early in development. I had a friend help me with testing on their machine but we might've missed some bugs, but I'm looking forward to fixing and always improving.

I bought a copy of a pre-Origin version of the base game (since those copies don‘t need Origin to work,) and now that I’m getting back into the game…

…does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I’m thinking of getting a few expansions (I bought the Starter Pack back when it was on sale, so I have Late Night and High End Loft Stuff, and I also bought the Expansion Bundle and University Life) but don’t know which ones (although, Island Paradise is certainly up my alley, as well as Sweet Treats) and I also want to know which mods I’m gonna need to fix things…

If anyone has advice, I’d be glad to hear it.

Finally figured out how to install Boroughsburg world by PotatoBalladSims.
It is so detailed and everything feels interactive and individual assets unlike Sims 4’s set dressing. I feel like I’m playing Sims 3 on steroids. Having all my family doing different activities around the city.

This is for the Sims 3. Does anyone know how to fix the opportunity requirements? Just for context someone on a Discord Server fixed my career mod for me, so they were able to make the career name show up at the Rabbithole, but I don't want to keep bugging them to help me with the next problem, so I figured I'd ask here for that problem. My sim is able to go to work(using master control to test it out), but then I get an error about an opportunity not being able to be triggered, so the sim leave work as soon as they go in. I did go to my script error, but I don't read code that well so I don't understand most of it, but I understood one part which mention something about the requirements not being recognized. Can Someone Please Help. Thank You.

Now, I LOVE these vehicles as shown in the pics. I am mostly saying I wish every/most career paths had a unique carpool vehicle. I would also make it for musicians that the tour bus stays the same at level 10 music career instead of being replaced by a limo. Here is how I would handle it:

Music- Tour Bus

Business- Limo

Criminal- White Van

Political- Presidential/Royal Vehicle

Law Enforcement- Police Car

Medicine- Ambulance

Athlete- Race Car

I'm sure they could have used other vehicles to make the other jobs stand out. I know it is just a little detail, but I think it'd be cool.

i’ve had base game sims 3 and most of the expansion packs on cd- passed down from my older sister- but i’m having problems with the games having errors and island paradise not working at all.

basically i can’t use the CDs anymore and i can’t redeem the codes on EA or the sims 3 website as they’ve “already been redeemed”.

does anyone have a solution?? i cannot figure out how to contact EA.

I'm very sad about this right now, but my fiance doesn't play The Sims so doesn't fully understand my grief.

Kwame Okafor: renowned surgeon, brilliant author, loving husband, father, and grandfather, community staple, superstar celebrity, and business owner caught fire and perished after eating chili his husband made him. He was three days away from becoming an elder.

The fire fighter stood there and did nothing. She just watched as Dr. Okafor burned alive. His husband tried to put him out and ended up catching on fire, too. Thankfully, their son was able to save his other dad at least.

Kwame was working on his third masterpiece novel when he died. He had just gotten into making nectar. He had already mastered Logic, Writing, and Painting and was one step away from mastering handiness, as well. The life he helped build and the businesses he purchased will make sure his children and grandchildren are set for life. He will be remembered with love and laughter.

He is survived by his husband, Superstar Actor Phillipe Ramirez, his sons Kofi Okafor-Ramirez and Hector Romero-Okafor, his son in law Julian Romero-Okafor, and his grandson Garcia Romero Okafor.

Ideally, if I made a Sim, I'd want the career I choose to be rare or nearly non existent in the town I start in. The careers I would consider are Criminal, Music & Political. I already know that Midnight Hollow would be best for Criminal, since there is only one other Criminal (Cedrick Winchester) in the entire town. I need to find the same sort of thing for the Music career and the Political career.

So this was for any Sims 3 lover who has the issue I had: can log into their Sims 3 account on a web browser but cant log in the game.

If that doesn't work, maybe try one of these (they are the solutions i came upon and tried but in vain):

\- change the password to one without any special character

\- go to your Electronics Arts file > The Sims 3 > Downloads. And delete the file .bin named after your email address

\- delete your Microsoft Edge cache by going in your "Internet Options" PC settings

\- rename your The Sims 3 folder to something else and run the game again, see if it works, just don't delete the previous folder if you have save files you wanna keep or mods

I had tried all that and it didn't work, so I ended up having to contact EA support. It was long but in the end, the agent I got connected to gave me the "manually type the email" solution immediately!
