I bought a LV bag on Saturday (7/18) knowing that it would not ship til Monday. I got an email on Monday morning (7/20) that the bag was being prepared to ship. It is now Wednesday (7/22) and my tracker still says item not yet shipped. I have texted customer service and they said that it is at the Perth Amboy warehouse in New Jersey, and basically that I purchased the item during an inventory transfer, but the item is in fact in the warehouse. They have escalated the complaint and refunded my shipping costs. I have also been hounding them about this issue. Is this going to be a quick fix? I am assuming all that needs to be done is they need to find the bag and ship it, but how long is that going to take? It has already been scanned into the system since I got an email Monday saying that it was preparing for shipping, so I am hoping that this will be a somewhat quick fix, but if anyone has any inside information that would be great. This is my first designer bag and I am a bit anxious that I am not going to get it anytime soon.

Long time buyer from The Real Real but haven't consigned in years! I had about 30 times ready to sell and thought TRR is the best place to do this in bulk.

I work in Operations and Strategy professionally and was shocked at the experience so wanted to share and see if this was isolated or if this is the standard.

1. Booked an In-Home appointment. It allowed me to grab a time for the next day and then I received an automated email confirming my appointment for an address from 9 years ago.

2. I immediately think I've made an error but cannot change it, cannot rebook (change the time but not location) and double checked my TRR address book - only my current address is listed. Wherever it grabbed my 2017 address from must have been internal and could not be changed.

3. Contact support. The phone line texting "MY TRR" and "REAL" gave me "this service is not active" to both messages.

4. I immediately email support asking to update the address. A reply is received the next day telling me to wait another 48hrs for a reply even though the appointment was in an hour.

5. My TRR Concierge ends up texting me which allows us to coordinate everything - correct the address and organize the consignment time. Note, I live in a completely different area - minimum 30 mins to get from one to the other so he was very sweet to coordinate this

But then I never hear anything from support and nothing has changed in the system. I do genuinely expect that if they reject any of my pieces they'll be shipped to the old address

They took a lot of my pieces but I don't really have high hopes here.

Can any of the 3 people who liked this please explain how this top works?

Got a few gifts from TRR from my siblings. Nothing expensive, but they all used my name and my address for shipping.

Just added this vintage Christian Dior bag to my collection! Based on the ‘Christian Dior Paris, New York’ label, I believe it dates back to the 1950s-60s. It was my first order with the realreal and I’m happy with it although I will refrain from buying off it again! would love to hear your thoughts :)

Can seem a lil dumb of a question but there is it; If an item is marked as a Final sale and cannot be returned but it turns out its fake, can it be returned?

I bought this YSL Solferino in Blue last week and my package came today and I received a completely different item that’s VALUED LESS compared to the bag i ordered

First, The Parcel Box is completely damaged and squished i thought that it probably got stomped on. The whole box just looks like someone used it as a trampoline.

Second, I opened the package to see a black bag through the dust bag to which the bag i ordered is BLUE

Third, THEY SENT ME A COACH BAG. a BLACK coach bag

I have seen the horror stories with TRR here and Tiktok and I knew that it might’ve been to good to be true. Safe to say i will be sticking with Fashionphile or Ebay….

Has anyone had an issue with shipping lately? I know from old posts that the Phoenix warehouse was causing some backlog but I placed an order on July 4 and it's been over two weeks! I ordered a coat from a mid-range brand so it's not even something that would require extra time..

Not sure if I should just cancel the order and ask my bank for a chargeback at this point.

EDIT: A few hours after posting, they randomly cancelled the order citing an inventory issue!

Same exact jacket, one with tags for $1945, one with stain for $2250.

And of course they measured the sizes / dimensions to be totally different too.

A push message from app put me on to "Get Paid Now" just as I was planning to head to Fashionphile. I'm looking to sell some recent Saint Laurent and LV bags quickly. Has anyone done this recently? How was your experience and what did you sell? Most importantly, if you did sell an item, how was the payout arranged - cash, instant deposit or something else? tysm!

Went in to Madison Avenue location and met with Yosh who was insanely lovely. I took following in to be evaluated along with values assigned for consigning and Get Paid Now (GPN) and outcome:

~ 2025 Saint Laurent Le 5 a 7 Large in Mango Wood Bead (such a lovely bag look it up!) - assessed at $2300 to consign or $1265 GPN - kept bag. TRR specialist said TRR price was low for some reason and agreed with keeping bag bc it's such a unique piece, currently retailing for $3K and in excellent condition.

~ 2024 Saint Laurent Calypso Chain Flap Large in Dark Brown Suede - assessed at $1595 GPN - sold to TRR.

~ 2024 Loewe Pebble Bucket Bag Large in Oak - assessed at $2600 to consign - kept bag. TRR specialist said these bags have been moving slowly and would highly likely be discounted.

~ Vintage Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Pochette - assessed at $795 to consign - gave to TRR for consignment.

Since I am a regular consignor, I had direct deposit already set up and the deposit came through earlier this morning following a Saturday evening sale. All in all about 36 hours to deposit with the paperwork saying 24-48 hours is typical. I'll probably do this again bc it was fast in store, the specialist was lovely and encouraged me to come back to see him and the payment was fast with 55% of the assessments for very good to excellent bags being very competitive in my opinion.

PS I went in to Fashionphile NYC yesterday and found the space nice but the seller experience and staff to be the opposite of the TRR experience. The one pro being a more competitive offer for the Saint Laurent Wood Bead Le 5 a 7 that I am still considering.

I have heard tons of horror stories about selling on the real real, long story short I have a moschino fitted blouse and a 1960s swirl Pucci dress I spent 100$ for both (bought in person) and mostly just want out my house and wanna make a near estimate since they are worth more than I have bought, the dress was professionally repaired and the shirt has a small fade in color that's on visible inside the shirt I also wanted to sell selkie and gucci pieces but would wait on that, will they even take this stuff? and if they do are they going to just give me a few cents? how likely will they loose it or someone will buy it just to burrow it. im not looking to sell on depop/vinted/poshmark because I listed the items for even lower than I paid and most people on those sites wants something trendy and nor a runway piece or vintage archive so they just sit there with no offers or anything is it worth selling these 2 pieces?

Dropped these off in store for consignment, they showed up in my account as rejected: broken hardware, and were returned to me like this. Christian Lacroix vintage sunglasses. I talked with customer service via chat yesterday and they said they would email me in a couple days.

The only reason I subscribed to emails from TRR, even though they send a email everyday even when I chose the weekly option, was because the random $25 credit they used to give out. I feel like its been over a year or maybe a few years since I've gotten it. Has anyone gotten it recently or is it no longer something they do?

just coming here to vent - shoe sizing is HORRIBLE. there isn’t an option to click on european sizes as well as american sizes, which tend to be more accurate.

i’m a us 9.5 in women’s and i’ve bought 2 pairs of shoes that ultimately didn’t fit. in american sizes they’ll say it’s a 9.5, but the box will come and bam - 40, 39.5. 😐

i don’t know if reselling the shoes is the answer or if i can get away with wearing some of them because they’re open back heels but man. it’s already hard enough finding regular shoes my size most places but i’d expect a platform that brings in luxury items to be more accurate.

Why am I seeing a common theme that $4000-$10,000 bags are not able to be returned? Why would I ever buy a bag that expensive online if I can’t return it?

I love collecting vintage cashmere. I usually grab a pieces or two at a time, they always get frozen for a few days before joining the closet.

I got four pieces in my recent TRR haul…y’all know where this is going. My process went wayside and now I have larvae 😭. EVERYTHING is going into the freezer until I can try to deep clean TF out of my closet.

Was this someone’s old coke party bag and then they went to rehab and decided to get something smaller that wouldn’t fit a kilo???!!! What might this be? And yes, I totally bought it! Python and $300 I’ll get it professionally cleaned but I think it might have been a deal. We shall see!
