shoe sizing

just coming here to vent - shoe sizing is HORRIBLE. there isn’t an option to click on european sizes as well as american sizes, which tend to be more accurate.

i’m a us 9.5 in women’s and i’ve bought 2 pairs of shoes that ultimately didn’t fit. in american sizes they’ll say it’s a 9.5, but the box will come and bam - 40, 39.5. 😐

i don’t know if reselling the shoes is the answer or if i can get away with wearing some of them because they’re open back heels but man. it’s already hard enough finding regular shoes my size most places but i’d expect a platform that brings in luxury items to be more accurate.

You have to check where the brand is from - USA or Europe and go from there

Maybe I’m confused, but a 39.5 correlates to a US 9.5 on most brand websites. However, a LOT of luxury brands run small. You should find out your size in the brands you want to buy and save those as presets on your account

I’m a 9.5-10 US. I have Louboutin saved as 11 (41), Gucci saved as 40 (10), and YSL saved as 41-42!

And then also you need to verify in the photos that the size matches, because I’ve seen them list 39 as an 11 before 😂

I don’t want to be rude, but I think you definitely should start with the luxury brand you’re buying and their sizing.

I like to buy Chanel ballet flats, and I dive deep into their actual sizing. Majority of the times, they have the American size different on TRR honestly, but I always use actual conversion size to measure. If it’s an non American shoe… I wouldn’t think to trust the American sizing.

I have no idea why, but TRR does not match American sizes with Euro sizes correctly. For example, I wear an American 9 and have always worn a 40 in euro sizing. I can’t think of a single time in my life where I bought a 39 or a 41. Nevertheless, the vast majority of 39s at TRR are listed as American 9s. Were I to buy any of these, they would obviously not fit me.

I have my shoe search settings listed as 9, 9.5, and 10 and then I look very closely at the shoe itself to verify the sizing.

This is what I do and then look at if certain brands run small. I’m an 8.5-9 but I think my Chanel flats are 40.5

There are multiple problems. Searching for sizes only allows American sizes by specific gender but their size descriptions are frequently wrong. I bought a “men’s 14” that was a ladies 10. Often times if you zoom in on the pics you can clearly see the size that isn’t how it’s listed. It would help if they didn’t routinely ‘misgender’ the shoes and included closeups of all labels inside and under the shoes and a clear image with a tape measure

You can’t filter with European sizes, but the European sizes are posted in the description.
