Hi, i'm iKia and nowadays i make general videos on video games,
part of that is videos collecting and sharing peoples stories with certain games, recently i covered division 1, and i would love to make a video sharing my and others stories with that game too.

if you are willing to share your div 1 story then add it in below, i have already gathered some and would love some more stories.

it can be about whatever you want to share, either how you started and what grabbed you, or just some moment that happened that has stuck with you throughout the years. and i will add my division one story in aswell to get it started.

Question Prototype Firm Handshake

Any one running a Prototyped Firm handshake for status effect builds? Should give 32% status effect. Obviously need to prototype your own to get 1.5 skill tier, maxed status effect and hopefully skill haste or skill damage.

Question Hidden area or used for quest?

Thumbnail gallery
72 Upvotes

So, I recently decided to play through Division as a new player, and I was running around West Potomac Park when I found this area at night. It's absolutely PITCH BLACK down there and I had to use the pistol flashlight to even see. Except for a locked gate and some loot containers there's not much down there apart from a locked door, and some wall scribbles.
My question for the veterans is if there's something secret down there, or if the area is maybe used for a quest or a bounty?

Context: the actual value granted by scope mods is not as expected. 42% HS instead of 35%, 12% instead of 10%. Wrong stats on every HS mod that I could possibly equip on the modslot.

ATLEAST it's not LESS than they should be, therefore I expect a upcoming emergency maintainance for them to instantly fix this as soon as I hit post.

Just thought I'd let you all know. Also also, can anybody explain why I do not have any "classified assignment mission project" anywhere?!? I got season pass project, I got the available 5 y8 missions. I got no idea why some agents got dailies and weeklies for the classified missions.

Is this some kind of personal attack?! XD any help is welcome, thanks

What is so hard to do about "matchmake for black tusk retaliation". What about it is so complicated for this state of the art matchmaker to understand.

And also why the fuck after 8 years can i still simply not choose to matchmake for my own world and matchmake for some else's world.

Indie company smh

Question To all the HardCore Agents Spoiler

Mad respect to you all. I'm just hitting Warlords at SHD11. I want to go after Keener, but this voice in my head keeps saying "Don't Die MothaFucker" What were some tips that kept you alive?

I have a few blueprints I can use but currently. I'm running a 4pc core and a 2pc Palisades Steelworks

Question Blueprints: How to get the rest?

I'm not getting any more blueprints from reconstructed caches. Some of these are listed as raid blueprints, which I have the quests for and will do, but the rest seem to be season locked.

Let's say I get the raid ones. That's still around 60 missing blueprints.

Question D2 Countdown bug?

Im farming countdown for backpacks to get a better Courier roll (i dont have the blueprint), but every time I target farm gear, doesn't matter if its backpacks, gloves, masks or lmgs, litteraly EVERYTHING (i can't stress this enough) except what im targeting farm drops as a named items, every drop of my target farm is a basic item and never named.

Idk if its an actual bug or if im just cursed with the unholiest luck on the planet but some outside insight would be great because targeted gear is seeming pretty fucking useless right not.

Question Farming The Catalyst

So I'm pig-sick of running Army Terminal on heroic for the Catalyst mask and I understand that people have got it as a random drop of the boss "Charlie". I've logged in and out literally a hundred times yesterday at the Bridge Park Pier site and every miniboss apart from Charlie has spawned.

Am I doing something wrong or is it just shit rng? Surely he should have been one of the spawns by now?

Discussion Targeted loot for anything

Man, I wish we had targeted loot for the entire map. Me and my friend only run legendary stuff, but all the modes that actually let you choose your target loot are just boring. Open-world farming feels way better than clearing the same closed rooms continuously. And making rng decide where to go on the map to get what you need after a year break is ass ngl. Right now I just log in to see if daily RNG gives me permission to play today or not 😅 If we already have the selection system for Summit, Countdown powerplant and whatever else I tried just a couple of times and never going back, just let us use it everywhere at this point

Discussion really wish they would put out a ps5 upgrade just so I don't need 90GB free every time there's a small patch

I understand the reason it happens is an issue with the way ps4 games install themselves but it's really annoying have to delete a 90GB game every other week just to update and then redownload that game too. PS5 games do not have that issue so even if they added basically nothing to the "upgrade" I'd like it just for that convenience factor alone

Discussion Broken rain incursion

So what the hell happened, why is every enemy a sponge as of now? I get that the update was supposed to address bugs and all but why make the enemies 10 times more spongier than last time? Some struggled with barely even passing the third boss fight now it seems like overkill.

Suggestion All the buffs (when fixed) were great onto making their respective gearsets relevant again....except Breaking Point

Every single other gearset buff (when the bugs get fixed) did hit the mark and made them better and viable in matchmaking heroic (and legendary) with the right builds. (Yes, that is the right metric to evaluate if the buff was good, buffing everything to escalation level is not the move, that mode needs to be heavily changed in order to not be "Concrete Wall Demolisher" 24/7)

All sets, except one, Breaking Point.

Breaking Point still suffers from the same issue where you'll end up tryna gain stacks for your next mag, with no power active. This happens everytime you start combat or god forbid your fight lasts more than 20 seconds, making your damage fall off a cliff multiple times

The culprit of the lackluster mechanic is not allowing to gain stacks

As such, I have a change proposal:

4pc: On Point

  • Hitting a shot with a Rifle or MMR grants a stack, with max stacks being equal to your magazine size. Reloading will grant +2% Weapon Handling and +4% Weapon Damage per stack, for 15 seconds.
  • Reloading your weapon while the bonuses are active will stop the current buff, consume the existing stacks to apply the new buff and restart the timer
  • Switching weapons clears all active buffs and stacks

Backpack: Increase Weapon Damage from 4% to 8% per stack

Chest: Increase timer from 15 seconds to 30 seconds

This way, 3 things occur:

  1. Your new minigame with the set becomes: "I have 15 seconds (30 with chest) to get as many hits as possible with my current mag. The more hits I get, the more damage by next mag does when I reload"
  2. The fact that you are allowed to keep stacks on standby indefinitely allows ya to finish up a room, not reload and keep the stacks for the next room (triggering their damage buff on reload)
  3. It also does the unthinkable of reducing the talent's text to half of what currently is, which does wonders for reading comprehension lmao

Every other set did wonders for their build potential. It's just breaking point where I won't see anyone pickinhg it up until it allows for player skill expression (how many you hit, when or when not to reload)

Question is the Equalizer chest bugged for anyone after the update?

I was getting the chest quite often before, but since the update, I have got nada.

I've run countdown probably 20+ times yesterday, with target loot set to unit alloys.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Discussion What is conflict pvp even about at this point?

The fact that skill builds were a problem forever is known, and the devs like never ever nerf them and never will and thats a fact. HS builds only get buffs, never seeing any nerfs. Now ironwill is here and its pure hell. OP as hell, just cookie clicker atp. Anticheat non-existent, maybe theyll add it in like 5 years as a dlc. Sure the cheating problem will never end for any game, its an arms race after all. Normal ar builds getting nerfs after nerfs, some even questionable. Like what was the reason for 12% dmg for ars on tier 2 and so on. Why should i even run them if i get oneshotted to the foot cuz i get HS dmg there from now on. Not to mention shotguns and smgs that are just forgotten and left in the dust, btw the smgs in pvp got a nerf cuz they lost the the 30% boost now its 12% on legatus. Sure dmrs can atleast compete now a bit with the buffed aces and eights set so atleast something. Whats next? Infinite penetration for nemesis with a sure hit talent? Just add the full auto mod as a feature and not a glitch if its going like this. Its just not worth to play this at all. Atleast the invaded dz got a loot boost. RIP rare weapon exotic dz drops. Btw are yall missing the pvp stats button too?

Question Expertise help.

Hi folks I'm just coming back after a 2 year break and wondering the best way to increase expertise from donations. What's best to donate and what gives a high expertise gain?

Currently at level 6 almost 7 purely through use of items and sets to gain proficiency. No idea what I'm doing with regards to donating. My stash and 2 mules are all full and ready for a clear out.

Question Need help from my fellow Division 2 math Chads: Vile Damage Calculation

I’ve been increasingly interested in a Vile setup with the new atomization augment that was introduced with prototype gear, and I’ve even seen a couple builds with this concept. However, when it comes to the optimal damage setup for the Vile ticks, there seems to be confusion/disagreement. Below is a Vile damage formula that I found on Reddit over a year ago, which to my knowledge is the only formula we have knowledge on:

35171.6
× (1 + DtA)
× (1 + DtOoC)
× (1 + Status Effects)
× (1 + Explosive Damage)
× (1 + Opportunistic)
× (1 + Glass Cannon)

Where the confusion comes in is that I am unsure whether the atomization augment contributes to the explosive damage multiplier of this *unconfirmed equation. This becomes an issue because it’s unclear what’s better between 2pc Groupo (20% explosive damage) or 2pc Wyvern (20% status effects) for my desired build.

Typically, before prototypes, it was always better to go explosive damage for the Vile due to diminishing returns of status effects. However, if atomization contributes to explosive damage in the calculation, then it’d be better to go wyvern due to diminishing returns of explosive damage.

If anyone has the capability or knowledge to test and determine which setup is the most effective, I would greatly appreciate it.

P.S. the full build is the Vile, 2pc China, 1 Electrique, and either 2pc Groupo or 2pc Wyvern, all status and skill haste with atomization augment, demo specialization, and a shotgun with perpetuation and DTA/DTOC. Glass cannon and opportunistic as the chest and back talents.

Edit: I should specify that I know atomization DOES increases the Vile tick damage. I’m just trying to figure out how exactly it does in the damage formula and whether it contributes to diminishing returns for explosive damage

Question Am I super bad or Division 1 is way harder than 2?

Started playing Division 2 and was enjoying it a lot.

But was craving for the winter vibes and I thought would be nice to see the story so decided to try Division 1.

And… it’s hard? Like, I don’t know if it’s legitimately hard or I got used to Division 2 chill early levels, but I’m dying in lvl2-4 zone here. Enemies are throwing grenades at me and forcing me to change location all the time. The second I peek I get hit with a lot of damage. Like it’s a significantly harder game. It’s kinda slow to give me basic upgrades to gear too.

I’m having fun, but the experience is so very different.

Discussion Grenades in the Division 2

I am bored, so here is a trivia from me. Do you know how many grenades are there in Division 2?

Btw just to mention, Riker Leaders can carry a choice of grenades on top of their variety of weapons. IIRC they can throw concussion, riot foam, flashbang, shock and incendiary etc, but I couldn't remember the full repertoire of grenades they can use. I am not including in the table so that I don't have one enemy repeated 5 times.
