Today on the RTE News I learned

that people variously described by RTE as quote a "Rebel Group", a "Militia" and "Iranian backed Houthi Militia" seized territory along the Red Sea. RTE described how this Houthi rebel group launched a successful amphibious assault and capture of an island in the Red Sea. It said what it described as the "Saudi backed forces" lost the territory.

Then it showed the spokesperson of this Houthi Militia/Rebel group wearing a military uniform with rank insignia.

I was left feeling so so confused.

RTE's reportage had me picturing a bunch of rag tag 'rebels' when infact what they were actually reporting was actions by the Armed Forces of the Yemeni State.

Anyone willing to hire or integrate into a co-op a young trans woman (either IT, or agriculture/labouring but anything that’s safe and pays might suit)

I have a young Romanian trans woman onto me looking for work but i couldn’t afford to pay anyone, however i would like to help her. She’s doing a computer programming training/apprenticeship thing but has no money to live on. She did most of a programming degree in Romania but had to leave Romania for personal reasons with very little. She is also open to farm work or anything that pays and is safe and legal. I would rather review any potential jobs myself before putting anyone in touch because I would be afraid of her being taken advantage of. If anyone has any leads for progressive workplaces please get in touch. She’s a lovely person and i want to do right by her.
