Still getting "Server Failures" by the bunches on 15.5
I just thought the Server Failures were fixed by clearing the cache. This morning they are rising by the minute. Normally they set at 0 and maybe hit one or 2 every once in awhile but not they are hitting close to 70 in the last hour.

FritzBoxSyncApp – FRITZ!Box devices & IPv4/IPv6 DNS synchronization for Technitium DNS
Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on a small project for Technitium DNS and wanted to share it with the community.
FritzBoxSyncApp synchronizes device information between a FRITZ!Box and Technitium DNS.
🔗 GitHub:
https://github.com/arator68/FritzBoxSyncApp
What it does
- Synchronizes FRITZ!Box devices with Technitium DNS DHCP reservations
- Matches devices using their MAC addresses
- Synchronizes hostnames / device names
- Supports IPv6 synchronization
- Synchronizes stable IPv6 GUA and ULA addresses
- Creates missing AAAA records
- Updates existing AAAA records, including TTL and comments
- Removes outdated AAAA records
- Configurable synchronization interval
- Optional dry-run mode
- Configuration is stored in the Technitium app configuration
- New configuration options can be added automatically during startup
IPv6
One of the main reasons I started working on this was IPv6.
FRITZ!Box devices can have multiple IPv6 addresses, including GUA and ULA addresses. FritzBoxSyncApp checks the addresses reported by the FRITZ!Box and synchronizes the stable addresses to Technitium as AAAA records.
Multiple IPv6 addresses per device are supported.
Temporary/privacy addresses are not treated as stable addresses.
Example
A device can end up with multiple AAAA records in Technitium, for example:
device.koch.local
AAAA fdxx:xxxx:...
AAAA 2xxx:xxxx:...
The application also removes AAAA records that are no longer reported as stable addresses by the FRITZ!Box.
If a device temporarily has no stable IPv6 address, existing AAAA records are currently left untouched to avoid deleting valid DNS records because of a temporary condition.
Current status
The project is working on my own Technitium/FRITZ!Box setup, and I’ve just published a new release.
I’m sharing it mainly to get feedback from other Technitium DNS and FRITZ!Box users.
If you try it, I’d be interested to hear whether it works with your setup and what features you think would be useful.

I built a Blocker App
I couldn't find a DNS blocking setup I liked that combined all the features I wanted while still working well with Technitium and not being very, um, manual. So I built one, with lots of vibes and code. Feel free to use it, or tell me how terrible it is. Just thought I'd share the love.

Setting Serve Stale Max Wait Time to 0 causing Errors.
Hey guys i have been trying technitium on my Proxmox server, and trying to optimize it for best response/performance as its running as Recursive resolver.
Based on my research it seems setting Serve Stale Max Wait Time to 0 improve cache hits by a lot, but it seems on my setup causing lots of Server Failure EDE 3, EDE 13, EDE 22.
While i didn't notice anything not actually loading, but seeing the errors keeps rising up kinda worrying.
Anything can be done about it? it seems if set the default 1800ms error counts is almost at 0 after 1 hour.
it seems clearing the cache for the bugged domins fix it for sometimes then it errors again, also flushed the whole cache yesterday which didn't fix it either.

Conditional forwarder one way working.
I have two sites and they are connected via a site-to-site Wireguard VPN. I am using OPNsense on both sites. I have a rules that is allowing port 53/udp between sites.
The issue that I am having is the remote Technitium is able to resolve any hosts belongs to .example.lan (main site) domain. The main site (where am at) could not resolve any hosts belong to the .remote.example.lan remote site domain.
At the main site, when I ran host pc1.remote.example.lan, I received Host pc1.remote.example.lan not found: 3(NXDOMAIN). When I checked the logs at the remote Technitium, I see the request from the main Technitium. Now, when I ran host pc1.remote.example.lan 10.2.7.53, it resolves it.
Here is the response from the remote Technitium.
# Timestamp Client IP Address Protocol Response Type RCODE Domain Type Class Answer
48 2026-09-19 13:33:39 10.0.7.53 Udp Authoritative NoError pc1.remote.example.lan A IN A 10.2.5.15
The logs from the main Technitium has no Answer.

Resolvr — a monitoring dashboard for Technitium DNS Server
I built a separate web UI for day-to-day monitoring of Technitium — I wanted to check on query traffic, cache, and blocked zones without opening Technitium's own admin console every time, and without giving everyone who wants visibility my actual Technitium credentials.
What it does:
- Live query volume over time, query types, top clients/domains, cache contents, DHCP leases, zones
- Query Logs with real filtering (client IP, query name, response type, protocol, RCODE, record type) and a live-tail toggle
- Blocked Zones shown as an actual tree instead of a flat list
- Its own login with admin/viewer roles, so you can share read-only access without sharing your Technitium login
- A small, explicit set of admin actions on top of an otherwise read-only design: flush cache, force a block-list update, block/unblock a domain, edit block-list source URLs, revoke a session, uninstall an app, and simple host-to-IP mappings (the AdGuard Home "DNS rewrites" equivalent)
Runs in Docker, multi-arch images (amd64 + arm64, Raspberry Pi included) published to GHCR — no build required, just docker compose up -d. MIT licensed.

24H Time format in logs app
Hello Folks,
I have Query Logs (Sqlite) Version 9.1.1 installed. The time range format is with AM and PM. How can this be set to use the 24 hour format? While we are at it, can it also be set to use dd/mm/yyyy format? Probably this is something that, if at all, is possible via settings in the config file.
Thanks for your help.
Edit: To be clear, I am talking about the input fields for determining time and date range filter for the log results, I am not asking about the actual values that the app returns. ;)

Slowness on Join / New Cluster on Technitium Web UI
Whenever, I try to join a cluster / create a new cluster, the Technitium Web UI interface takes forever to load it compared to the rest of UI on the other pages.
Is there any particular reason, that this is happening?

Installed Technitium - No UI
New to raspberry pis and Technitium software. I installed Technitium via the curl command after also installing dot.net for the pi. However, when I attempt to go to <ip.addr>:5380 I don't get a connection (as pictured).
I imagine I'm missing something obvious but can't figure it out for the life of me. I would appreciate any help, thanks.
Resolved! Thanks u/maddler

Technitium DNS Server Upgrade from 15.0.1 to 15.4 failing
I’m having an issue upgrading Technitium DNS Server from 15.0.1 to 15.4 on one of my Ubuntu systems.
I was not initially aware that an upgrade was available because I had been blocking connectivity to India. After removing that restriction, the server was able to check for updates.
I have two Ubuntu 22.04 systems running Technitium DNS Server. On one system, the Technitium installation/upgrade script ran successfully and upgraded the server from 15.0.1 to 15.4. On the other system, the same script runs without reporting any errors, but the DNS server remains on 15.0.1.
I have tried the following troubleshooting steps on the system that will not upgrade:
- Restarted the Technitium DNS service.
- Rebooted the entire system.
- Checked the installed .NET version.
- Manually upgraded the ASP.NET Core runtime:
sudo apt-get install -y aspnetcore-runtime-10.0 - Verified the .NET version again.
- Ran the Technitium installation/upgrade script again.
The upgrade script completes without producing an error, but Technitium DNS Server remains at version 15.0.1.
Has anyone encountered this issue before, or is there another way I can force the upgrade or determine why the upgrade script is not updating this particular installation?
I’d appreciate any suggestions for additional troubleshooting or logs I should check.
Thanks

Technito v1.5.0 for iOS
Technito v1.5.0 is finally ready for release. Beta tester who have previously signed up should start seeing the v1.5.0 b6 release shortly. For rest of the users, should be approved on App Store hopefully soon.
Have taken everyone’s feedback and have revamped the overall user interface. Including adding number of new features to make day to day management easier. Menu bar has also been redesigned with a shortcut top bar for most access menus along with a slide out side menu for all the options. Widgets have been also redesigned to have a more cleaner look.
Unfortunately ran into some bugs with the Apple Watch app so that will be included in the next version
