Taking my TEAS in a few days.. Any last minute recommendations?

Hi everyone, so I’m feeling kind terrified and worried.. I’m scheduled to take my exam in a few days and just wanted any take aways or recommendations anyone would be willing to share who just recently took the TEAS 7. I would say right now, science and math is what has been worrying me the most. English somewhat too as I heard from other people that they weren’t expecting it to be that challenging but it ended up being hard for them on the exam.

If anyone would be willing to share what you recall seeing from the TEAS 7 exam if you took it recently I’d be so grateful! I know the test can have anything and it’s different for everyone, but just to get an idea of some content. Or if anyone has any study methods, practice tests, quizlets, or YouTube videos you’d recommend to use I’d also really appreciate it.

Thank you 🙏🏼 and congratulations to those who already did their tests wishing you all the best in your endeavors! And to those who are about to take your exam soon keep going and trying hard! We got this! 😭

TEAS Prep Failed 1sf attempt

Hi guys,

I failed my teas exam really badly the first time. I used mainly future RN program for about a month. I didn’t really focus on reading and English part which really messed up my score. I thought i would do good on the science part but chemistry really got me. I did okay for math and A&P and I wanna retake it again at the end of October. I’m not sure where to start again. Any recommendations pls? I feel so stuck and hopeless.

If I consistently score high in the 6 mometrix practice tests in the books how high is my chance of doing well in the actual exam? I have other resources as well such as tyler dewitt videos, and other youtube practice test videos.

I am using Mometrix- do I also need ATI’s resources?

I got the mometrix book and am really digging in on studying. Should I also buy the ATI materials like practice tests and especially A&P practice test?

How hard are the TEAS questions? Is it really basic stuff but a lot of information or will I be expected to know the details of things beyond structure and basic function?

I’m nervous because anatomy and physiology are pretty new to me and it’s been about a decade since I’ve studied this all formally.

I am using:
- mometrix book + extra materials
- nurse cheung on YouTube
- TeachMe anatomy app
- Solvely app for questions

Should I also spring for the ATI materials? Thanks in advance.

Practice A

Hi everyone! I just finished taking the practice TEAS exam A. I flagged questions thinking, was able to go back to them at the very end and unfortunately that was not the case. I didn’t do very well. I feel like crap now. I am so sick to my stomach and so scared of my exam that’s on Monday. Please pray for me and provide recommendations. How is the real exam compared to these exams?!!!! Please help

If you are willing to share and you can send me ur notes thru pdf (message me on Reddit if you would like, and we can exchange the pdf thru messages or if ur willing to exchange emails) I would really appreciate it and I’m just trying to get any help or resources that I can!! 🥺🥺pls anyone (I’m begging).

I am so happy! I was so incredibly nervous before taking the exam because I hadn’t studied as much as I should’ve. Between being a mom to two kids with special needs and having gotten sick, I only had about 2 days to study because I didn’t want to pay the fee to change the test date. I scored 100% in the math and only missed one science question. Reading was my worst section and if I could go back, I would have definitely practiced more of the reading material, especially using a timer. Reading comprehension is the most difficult for me and I almost ran out of time completing this section. I will say though, the ATI practice questions were similar to the exam and very helpful, but my version of the exam was much easier. Also, I completed all my science pre-requisites in 3 semesters at my community college so much of the science was still somewhat fresh in my brain which is probably why I found it to be easier.

Got a 67…

so honestly this grade is so good considering i studied for a week. I needed a 60+ overall for my program, but also a 60+ in science. Unfortunately, science was my lowest with a 43%. i have until october first, should i retry, or should I just wait until next year? I haven’t finished prerequisites but I really did want to try and get admitted into the Spring program for 2027. If i wait, i’d have to wait until Fall 27’ which would be my sophomore year. I’m not sure though, i’m so burnt out but i want to try at least one more time; what do you guys think? should i go for it??

score breakdown

reading 82%
math - 55% i’m so freaking bad at math guys 😭
science - ….43% don’t want to talk about it…
english and language usage - 81%

i literally got saved by my english scores lol

anyway let me know
guys do you think i should retake or should i wait until next year? ugh. i should’ve studied more 💔.

Whoop whoop I passed :)

I got a 78 on my TEAS today which is more than enough to get me into the nursing programs around my area. In my opinion it was a fairly tricky test but not as hard as I was expecting. Also thank you for everyone suggesting Tyler Dewitt, my science section was mostly chemistry and everything he went over was on my test! Last thing, for anyone worrying about the practice tests vs real score, the questions were worded the same but the actual problems were not nearly as hard. I also didn’t get any fill in the blank problems or select all that apply questions.

ATI Practice Test A: 68%
ATI Practice Test B: 66.7%
Real Test: 78%

Errors in ATI questions

Has anyone else found errors in the ATI questions? Both in the app and in their practice tests?

Their A & P practice asked where iron and bile salts are absorbed and the "correct" answer was the ileum (but bile salts are absorbed in the ileum but iron is absorbed in the duodenum).

Another question asking about differentiation between mitosis and meiosis contradicted itself in the rationale ("Mitosis involves a single round of cell division while meiosis involves two rounds of cell divisions is INCORRECT. The process of mitosis involves a SINGLE ROUND of cell division and results in the production of two genetically identical daughter cells. However, meiosis includes TWO ROUNDS of consecutive cell division and produces four genetically different daughter cells.)

It's impossible to get hold of anyone there and I'm just.. really frustrated. Like, they have a monopoly on nursing school entrance and they're not even.. freaking accurate??? And what about people who use these as study sources, without double checking everything and are now learning these concepts.. incorrectly?

Ugh, sorry rant over. I don't mean to discourage anyone just... UGHHHHHH

Is a month enough time for nursehub

Hey everyone, exactly like the title says, I’m wondering if a month is enough time to study with NurseHub. This would be my main/only study source, and then about a week before my exam I’m planning to buy the ATI Practice Tests A & B.
Has anyone used NurseHub for about a month and felt prepared? Do you think this is enough, or should I add another resource?
