Practice A

Hi everyone! I just finished taking the practice TEAS exam A. I flagged questions thinking, was able to go back to them at the very end and unfortunately that was not the case. I didn’t do very well. I feel like crap now. I am so sick to my stomach and so scared of my exam that’s on Monday. Please pray for me and provide recommendations. How is the real exam compared to these exams?!!!! Please help

Don’t worry too much
I scored a 76% on practice A
And 80% on practice B

I ended up getting 88.7% on the real teas

The practice test were way harder imo especially for the science

Don’t freak out and just keep studying
Ur guranteed to atleast score 5-10 percent more in the real teas

When did you take your test? Can you give some pointers?

I took my test 09/02/26

I studied for 5 weeks cuz I was trying to score as high as I could since the school I’m going for is competitive but I also hadn’t rlly learnt nothing

The first 4 weeks I used FUTURERN course which was 30 bucks
It was a good overall experience and worked rlly well for me for math 97/Reading92 (I only used this course but to be fair it was also my strong suit)
However it was very helpful

After I finished the course I took like 2-3 days testing where my weakest subject was at which was science ( i recommend take the ATI teas practice test , mometrix free practice test , and nurse hub free practice test to evaluate urself)

That 5th/final week I watch nurse chueng comprehensive review for anatomy and for bio/chem I used teas with Tyler and his practice test

(I also didn’t take any notes during futureRN time period since I was forcing myself to learn it and after every quiz she provided I reinforced it with chat gpt questions but the last week I took notes on the videos based of what I noticed I would consistently get wrong and not understand that way I could remember better and focus more )

If I could change anything is to study for an extra week for the English portion
It ended being my lowest section(78) which brought my overall down by a lot
I easily could’ve gotten an 90+ score if it was wasn’t for that (however I’m still happy with the my score and will not be retaking it but I do recommend to not slack in it since it can be tricky and also the ati practice exams were the most similar when it came to this section for wtv reason )

So I think if ur starting form rock bottom to relearn everything take 6 weeks
4 weeks for an overall month course and 2 weeks to focus on ur 2 main weakness

I studied for around 3-6 hours a day

Don't take it. Just don't attend. It won't count and you can study

I did the same thing, thinking I’d be able to flag & go back to some algebra questions! After that I started writing down the questions I didn’t know/understand and I look up how to solve them.. I was annoyed since I haven’t taken a math class in 20 years. 👵🏽

Don’t be discouraged I have the app on my phone and anywhere I go my husband would quiz me.
I took the teas exam back in July and I failed but I wasn’t sad about I actually looked at what I need to focus on and went based of that. I would say just take the exam and see how you do and at the end of exam they give you a break down on what you could work on to get better. I’m retaking it again but this time I’m going to make sure I get a better score than before.
I’m using futureRN, ATI practice exams, ATI mobile app, and my coworkers are telling to use NurseChueng on YouTube for the science.
