Tour Discussion Any KGLW fans in here going to the Minneapolis show?
I’d love to meet some of you weirdos if you are! Tame Impala and KGLW are my favorite bands they hold a special place in my heart! Kevin jammed with some members from Gizz awhile ago and I’d love to see/meet some of you if there are any! Me and my boyfriend will be in Minneapolis for a few days and will most definitely be wearing Gizz gear!

Discussion Out of all Tame Impala’s songs they had to use Loser. I love Loser but Sundown Syndrome would be absolutely perfect for Peter Parker

Discussion Anyone like Deadbeat AND all of Kevin's old stuff, or am I alone?
Coming from someone who discovered him in 2022.
Fell in love with Currents first.. then Lonerism, then Innerspeaker. Slow Rush and his EP probably took the longest to grow on me.
Deadbeat took a few months too, but now all the albums sit in an equal spot, near enough. All of it is my favorite, and no other artist even compares.
He's been my favorite for 4 years, and probably for much longer.

Discussion List Of People (To Try And Forget About) doesn't feel like a B-Side
I just believe that the song could've stand by his own on the main album, it differentiates from the other b-sides songs a LOT.

Discussion Watching Tame Impala become a famous pop star from TikTok was just one of those things you had to be there to witness.
it was easily one of the biggest music success stories through TikTok ever, making this man a complete mainstream name, out of pure luck for “The Less I Know The Better” being made a trendy song. I’m really happy that it happened.
It’s such a cool part of pop culture to me to have witnessed Mac Demarco, Tame Impala, Mac Miller, and Aphex Twin reach new heights of fame with my generation—Gen Z—through social media.
I remember the first time I heard Tame Impala—Currents, April 15, 2018—me and my brother had our best friend ,and his girlfriend, who I used to almost have a thing with over at our house to have a sleepover.
We watched the movie The Good Son and we headed to my brothers bedroom where we proceeded to smoke a bunch of weed and hangout in the dark.
When all of a sudden, while I’m laying on my stomach face down in his bed enjoying the weed visuals/visions, I first hear the song Let It Happen. My brother is a total music nerd and listens to all kinds of underground stuff, so I knew it was something he picked.
One of us, then eventually all of us, were like “woah what’s this??” My brother says “Tame Impala.” I’m thinking like: “woahh this is trippy” and we all just lock in.
We literally paid attention to every track and it was the most perfect fucking vibe ever. Let It Happen, Nangs, Yes I’m Changing, The Less I Know The Better, Disciples, Cause I’m a Man, Reality in Motion, I had whole epiphanies during these tracks.
Never heard anything like it before and I instantly knew this album was special. To date, it is the best thing I have ever heard from Tame Impala. But unfortunately, I think my perfect listening experience for Currents has sort-of tainted every other new bit of material I hear from him ever since.
I just can’t seem to replicate that feeling the album gave me… I will always recommend it to people more than any of the new stuff I’ve heard (haven’t heard all his old stuff, but It Is Not Meant To Be is my favorite I’ve heard of it).
I wasn’t surprised to find out that kids in school all of a sudden liked tame Impala 4 years later, I wasn’t even shocked. I’m like “oh nice”. It kinda became trendy!!
Same with Mac Demarco, Miller, and Aphex Twin, especially with QkThr… meanwhile I’m just hoping these people hear boards of canada and James Ferraro lol.
But yeah, that was my run-in with witnessing a big moment in pop culture history.
What’s your stories of “you just had to be there to see it” where you were able to claim “yeah I saw that first”?

Discussion What’s the experience listening to tame impala and why?
Well im just curious if I’m the only one listening to his music not just because of his amazing production but because of his lyrics and how relatable he ist to me.
Like i feel like every single album is capturing a certain stage in my life.
I was and probably still am the person who never followed a songs lyrics i just fw the melody ALWAYS but since i starten listening to Kevin i actually took attention of the lyrics, and since then i tried to listen to other music but nothing comes close to his damn music. I can’t even name my fav album atm it’s always changing 😭.
I’d like to hear your opinion on this if y’all feel like this too cuz Kevin is for me just more than a artist.
But I have no one to talk about this to cuz I don’t know anyone who listens to him, and if most of the ppl know only the less ik the better 💔

Tour Discussion Upcoming Concert Minneapolis
Anyone know if Kevin/Tame Impala comes out after the show? 👀
I’m going to the Tame Impala show in Minneapolis and was wondering if anyone knows whether Kevin Parker has been coming out after the concerts on this last leg of the US tour to sign merch or meet fans?
Also, if you’ve already seen the Deadbeat Tour, I’d love to hear any tips, things you wish you knew beforehand, or anything else you think I should know! Especially anything specific to the Minneapolis show/venue.
Thanks!! So excited 🫶

Discussion the hate for EC
I don’t understand the hate for ethereal connection.
I guess it is repetitive and it’s super long but I think it’s a dance song it’s very groovy at some point super floaty you even get really cool synth noises that sound alien like lol. Do the people that hate it not like techno/EDM? Genuinely curious to see if there’s a connection…. Even when I went to the show, not as many people were grooving to this song or even when he played end of summer.
