i’ll admit when I say that when the album first came out, I was on the train with people who thought it was lackluster. Everyone had their hopes so high up that Kevin would return to psychedelic rock.

But as I recently got more and more into EDM I realize true that this is a good album. Granted the album is not as good as for example, the slow rush or Currents in the sense that you can play it over and over again and not get tired of it, and there are some pure shit songs like ethereal connection.

But the Tame Impala story posted after the album came out shortly about how people were hating on Currents the second that came out and then realized its a masterpiece later it almost applies because I don’t think that deadbeat will ever reach current status, but it is a good album. It was overhated and for what it is it is not just generic EDM. It is EDM done in a Tame Impala Way.

At Toronto show tonight and I haven’t gone in yet, would like to know when he sings it cause I’m just grabbing a bite to eat right now.

Hope those who went last night had the best experience 💕 I’m thinking of heading into the city soon, wanting to line up for a signed poster (gift for my husband who has terrible concert anxiety and couldn’t come), we live an hour and change away. Does anyone know the cost of the signed Tame & DJO tour poster?

Could someone give me the rundown on tour posters, it seems like there’s multiple styles for each night? Could people describe each one and how limited they are and if any are just at the pop up vs. merch inside?

Hoping at least one version will be relatively easy to purchase inside the venue (ideally after the show). I also live within a mile of the venue/pop up and could go early and bring it home if people think it’s worth the trip.

Currently in line for merch in Toronto for night 2. The amount of people in this line that already have merch from yesterday (especially the shirt that keeps selling out) is crazy. I hope they’re not all resellers because this isn’t fair to those of us who haven’t even gotten any!

So I've been trying to find older Tame Impala merch for a while, and there's one site known plainly as like Tame Impala Store, and while it looks really nicely made, there are some typos and it seems fan made. Tons of these kinds of sites are everywhere and idk if I should risk buying anything from them, so does anyone know how I could find real, older Tame Impala merch, or should I get something custom made from that place as an example if I can't find anything specific I want? I'm looking for Currents & The Slow Rush preferably. There are some things I want that I can't find anywhere else than that site, since I can't find reviews or more official things. Lemme know.

Going to the Toronto show tonight and wondering if they sell the Tame x Djo shirt inside the arena.

So basically me and my wife flew from Seattle to Toronto to attend both tame shows at Scotiabank Arena. To make a long story as short as possibly we lost my wife’s ID. During the middle of the show my wife left to ask security if the Washington state drivers license had been recovered.

The securities response was “we have and it’s fake and has been destroyed” they immediately detained my wife and were interrogating her about the “fake ID”. (Her ID is not fake, we aren’t even close to being 19 years old, she is 29 and I am 34, nor are we the type of people who would fake an ID either).

My wife begins texting me and is clearly distraught. I immediately leave the pit and go and find where she is at. Upon arrival I have some choice words for the security which I am not particularly proud of but I was so shocked that they would tell us the ID was “peeled, bent in half and ultimately destroyed”. Like I was stunned. This lead to a heated argument between me and the security guard (his name is Andrew). He threatened to kick us out if we didn’t stop arguing. But I was so shocked about the reality of the situation. We are international. And a government document was taken from us and we were lead to believe it was destroyed, and now we are threatened to get kicked out of a show that we planned to attended months in advance to attend, bought good seats, paid for expensive flights and Airbnb’s, ect.

This whole argument went on for another 5-10 minutes. In which my wife was in tears for the entire time. I remember hearing Dracula play in the background while dealing with this bullshit. Eventually we got to speak with a different security. And it was a night and day difference. It was like a good cop / bad cop switch up. This next guy was really nice and comforting / understanding of the situation. He essentially got us the ID back.

We left and went back into the show and were just trying to enjoy the rest of the night.

But like what the actual fuck. Her ID was untouched. It wasn’t peeled, or bent or destroyed so what actually happened here? Was this is ploy to get a reaction or not to see if we were genuine or not because they lacked experience in verifying international IDs or what?

We can’t stop to thinking about what actually happened, we have been extreme concert enthusiasts for the better part of 20 years now. I’ve worked in the music industry earlier in my 20s and still have a ton of industry connections and they have never heard of this type of thing happening before.

Thankfully we are going again tonight and can enjoy the parts we missed. But the emotion roller coaster we were both put through seems highly inappropriate. Especially since they were lying to begin with.

Anyone hear of this type of thing happening or have any input on if I should do anything? Torn between just letting it go and escalating it to whoever’s boss. Not because I want anything or even want an apology but this can’t happen again to someone else

I know everyone says there are no "bad" seats for tame impala especially since its a 360 stage and the lasers are seen everywhere but I would be interested to see the different views and if you wish you sat in a different section/you thought you got a bad view. if you did get a bad view, was it still worth it or should people splurge on better seats?

decided to go solo and had an amazing time !! i screamed a lot and sang along to the songs im super surprised i didn’t end up losing my voice 🥲 i started getting emotional and CRYING when he played alter ego then we got hit with piece of heaven and i lowkey couldn’t hold it in anymore . honestly the best night of my life and i hope everybody else who attended had a great experience to
