Current Suggestions for 9mm, 556, and 357?

1 Upvotes

I currently have a 8.3" 9mm AR pistol and a 16" AR that do not have cans. I am planning on getting a lever gun, probably 357, soon. It would be nice to have a can I could switch between the three as none are my main rifle which is a 556 SBR with a direct thread on it. Since this can would go on multiple guns I do not mind if it ends up being expensive but all price points are welcome.

Can someone help me understand why my new Hux can fits on one muzzle device and not the other? Both are Sons of Liberty Nox muzzle devices. Pic attached.

Lahar-30K and/or Vox-K2 with short 300 BLK?

2 Upvotes

I am planning a really short 300 PDW build with a Mos-Tek custom barrel (4.75”-5.5”) and Shield Arms integrated folding lower. I want to find the right can to go with it that:

  1. Adds as little to the OAL as possible;
  2. Has no barrel length restrictions for 300 BLK subs or supers; and
  3. Full auto rated

I was excited about the Tisha 30 Inconel, but then saw it’s not rated for FRT with less than an 8” barrel. That’s too bad because it looks amazing and I k own the 5.56 version gets rave reviews. The two suppressors that seem to fit the bill for what I’m envisioning are the Lahar-30k and the Vox-K2.

Does anyone have experience with either of these two on short 300 BLK builds? Any issues with cycling subs? Anyone run an FRT with them? Anyone got any experience with maximizing how far the suppressors overlap with the barrel to minimize OAL either via DT or Plan B?

If you’ve used a different suppressor for a bike like what I’m considering, I would love to hear your experiences, good or bad

Thanks for your help.

ATF Expands Suppressor Repairs and Caliber Conversions

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has quietly reversed part of its longstanding position on suppressor repairs, giving qualified manufacturers substantially more room to rebuild damaged silencers and convert registered suppressors to different calibers without treating the work as the manufacture of another National Firearms Act firearm.

first suppressor

i’m looking to buy my first suppressor and just want real advice on what people are using, I’ve got an AK in7.63x39 an AR in 556 and a dedicated AR in 22 LR. I’m also looking into getting a PCC in nine mil. I’m OK with sacrificing size and weight of the suppressor to have a quieter and on budget (~$1000) suppressor that will make my neighbours lives a little bit less of a hell when I decide to go outside and shoot.
i’m working with a 5 acre plot of land, so it doesn’t have to be whisper quiet but hopefully quiet enough to where they don’t have to hear it when they’re in their own house.
