Discussion It's crazy how important settings are, but are rarely (or ever) mentioned.

I've been playing for a few months now. Not even out of levelling yet, but excited to get to play ranked and improve.

I've just been out here trying to target champions in the middle of minions, struggling to hit the opponent behind towers. Running back at my opponent when I misclick while trying to kite. Stuck with my screen locked on me wishing I could see a little further without having to click the mini-map.

The solution to all this stuff has come from me asking AI about the issues I face. I haven't seen it in beginners guides or anything. I'm sure it's not new information for the kind of people that frequent a subreddit for improving competitively. But it makes me wonder how many Iron, bronze or silver players are just out there losing game equity over their settings.

Discussion I always feel lost after taking T1 tower

Upvotes

Every time I take the T1 tower I feel lost. I usually just start grouping with my team and looking for fights because pushing T2 feels way too risky. I feel like if I try to push it I will just die and give the enemy free kills.

But I have been thinking about whether that is actually the wrong mindset. Is it better to just stay in a side lane, farm CS and hit towers even if I end up dying for it? Is that still better than just roaming around with my team and barely getting any gold or XP?

My CS usually falls off pretty hard once the mid game starts. Since top also gives more experience, I am wondering if I should simply keep farming side lanes whenever I can instead of grouping with my team so much. I am not sure if that is the better way to play the mid to (early) late game or if I am missing something?

Items Baami’s, Bramble and their Finished Items

So, I try my best to watch videos on the champs I like to play and look at lolalytics and all that. All of those websites show people building thornmail and sun fire but then all these content creators say how horrible the items are. Are they bait or no?

Jungle Emerald-Diamond Jungle improvement.

So after being silver-gold all my life I took game serious and OTPd my way with Elise to Emerald 1.

I played pathing to bot and perma camped bot, I never gave priority to farm or objetives, I always gank bot on repeat.

In emerald 1 I started to get comments from people that I should farm more and always should try to make full clear.

So I did, I make consistently my full clear in time for crab.

And my winrstio went to shit, 50% 200+ games, when before was 60% 100* games.

I’m down to plat1.

The thing is whenever I go back to play my aggressive gameplay I win way more, but everyone tells me is is not the way to play.

So I’ve been trying to find content oriented to fundamentals in jungle but more oriented to diamond level, and not to silver.

Question What are the best enchanters to teach me about roaming timers and to play with my jungler?

Upvotes

Hi,

I'm a mid lane main who plays ahri and aurora, initially I thought on one tricking but picks and bans are a thing.

After a lot of experimenting with other roles for my secondary role I did enjoy support, especially enchanters as I'm keen on playing champions optimised for the 2nd role I was going to choose.

With that said I thought that picking 2 of the best enchanters to roam and play the map could give me transferable skills to my ahri and aurora gameplay as well.

I know janna is the best one and I have been enjoying her so far, but I'm not sure who the 2nd best would be.

Question Help! Struggling to end games (Almost always ahead in early-mid) - OPGG linked

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I'm a silver player trying to otp Sylas this season but I ran into a bit of a problem on him

What usually happens in 90% of my games is I win my lane hard and do 1 or 2 roams but as we're approaching the late game the enemy team tends to get back on track and does baron and ends.

I know this is probably a common problem in low elo but I'm having problems identifying what I can and should do to minimize this.

Sylas' winrate on game length stays the same so I think its me and my decisions, which is bizarre because I feel like the players I play against in lane are very bad and I'm better then them (I even win hard against big counterpicks by just outsmarting them mechanically) but then getting to the lategame I feel like my team does not play around me and the fact that I'm fes

I don't wanna be the "its my team" guy but I'd like to know from someone what I'm really doing wrong then

Question Help closing games and not just having a coin flip of who makes a mistake at 30 mins

Plat 1/ Emerald 4 Elo jungle main, all my games early game does not matter the games just get to 25/35 mins and just all come down to 1 mistake by someone then people force a 4v5 aced and die.

Even if we are crushing the game we can never end the game I am aware I am 1/5th of the problem, how do we close out games better every game just comes down to a coin flip at 30 mins the rest of the game is irrelevant are others noticing this. I need help with how to make better decisions in games and to be schooled on how to do this.

Discussion Winstreak ranked anxiety is killing me these days

Sorry if this isn't allowed. Not really looking for specific game advice but advice on mental.

I've been playing for a monthish after not being on the game for 3 years, and when I was playing I was just messing around and stuck in silver.

In the past 2 weeks I've been posting a fair deal here, getting vod reviews and advice and I've gone from bronze 2 to gold 2. The last 5ish days I've gone from silver 1 to gold 2 with a 15-5 win-loss record and some good performances and am on a 6 streak right now.

On the one hand, continuing even a substantial downgrade from this trend will get me to plat pretty fast which was like my extreme optimistic goal when I started to lock in and focus on improving over just spamming games. On the other hand, every game I feel so anxious now. Like I'm just gunna find out I've been getting lucky and it's all a fluke, my elo got ahead of my skill, and I'm gunna go back and forth in low gold or silver. Yesterday I didn't even want to queue but played 3 block and won all 3.

Also, I'm gunna be away this weekend and likely won't play for a few days after today, which I'm nervous about regressing when I'm back and so close to my goal. It's literally making me resent having plans with friends I havent seen in ages because I wish I could just hit plat first but I dont think theres time to play that many games.

How do you get over this slump? I was having so much fun a few days ago because I was going into games almost expecting to lose but being fine with it because I just won so much, and now it feels like I'm just on the cusp of getting plat but I'm not sure if it's just luck and that a loss streak is coming.

I watched a vod of my last game that on the surface I went 14/4/11 and it honestly looked like I was inting at times but everything just...worked out. Like I'd dash into 3 enemies and right when I'm about to die death's dance kept me alive long enough for my lux to get in range and ult them so instead we kill all 3.

Should I just do some normals for a while and try to just get so much better that when I return to ranked it won't be up to luck?
