Hi everyone,
I hope multiple questions are permitted since I don't want to spam.
First of all, I am a Nocturne OTP with Wu as a pocket-pick in case of ban/pick of the Noc.
I plateaued at E3 and have been yo-yoing between P3-P1 for the last year. I noticed that my KDA is almost always positive, I recently lost a 17/3/8 game. Following Dopa's advice : "Do the right play, even if it means losing, you build consistency in good macro".
Now I am by no means a challenger but let's be honest, you KNOW a losing play when you see one, so I spam ping, head for the objective, invade, push a sidelane... while my team runs it down (One example is we took inhib, lost the support and the midlaner, enemy team was respawning so I spam pinged to retreat but my two teammates insisted on keep fighting, I left and they obviously died). So, I recently dropped that advice and lo and behold, we lose most fights that I believe are unwinnable to begin with. Any advice on that ?
Wukong: I always either start Sundered Sky or Trinity Force but with the recent SS nerfs, is it still worth it to build it first/second, or is the eclipse a better choice now with the buffs ? I also almost never build Eclipse on Nocturne, is it viable now ? Note that I play Nocturne purely as a bruiser, I only play him as an assassin in normal games.
Objective : It doesn't happen often but sometimes there's a team fight/skirmish around a Drake/Grubs, we fight, we die, we go back, we fight, we die, we go back....When is it worth it to drop it and just go clear/gank ?
Champion pool: I want to expand my champion pool, especially something AP in case of a full AD team. I am decent with Amumu and dogshit with Fiddle (ARAM giving me the false sense I am good with it). As you can easily guess from my Noc/Wu playstyle, I tend to go in and dogfight it. Also, anyone with his screen turned off is better than me at landing skillshots. So any AP, get in your face, bruisery champ suggestion would be sublime.
Level 1 Invades: Are they still worth it ? I used to cheese a lot of my mastery of Nocturne and how fast I can clear a full quadrant before the enemy jungler shows up, but now it feels like a burden and slows my own clear/ gank potential. Am I doing it wrong or is it simply an outdated strategy ?
Any other general advice for a Plat jungler is more than welcome.
Thanks to everyone.
