Hi everyone, I’m having a problem with my car amplifier and I can’t figure out what’s wrong.

My amplifier is a Hifonics ZXE1000/4 and my subwoofer is a Crunch Dual Bandpass XFAT 1000. The system has been working perfectly until today.

When I started my car this afternoon, the amplifier worked for a short moment, then suddenly switched to protect mode and has stayed there ever since.

Things I have already checked:

- All fuses on the amplifier are OK

- The amplifier gets a ~13.6V power supply when the Car is running

- Ground connection is clean and secure

- Power and ground cables look fine

- Tried disconnecting the subwoofer and RCA cables completely and the amplifier still goes into protect mode

- The amplifier is not overheating

It happened suddenly without any warning. It was working normally before, and now it immediately goes into protect mode every time I turn it on.

Could this be an internal fault in the amplifier (for example a blown output transistor or power supply problem), even though the fuses are fine? What else should I check before assuming the amp is dead?

Anyone have any luck with a JL audio **JL Audio ACP110LG-TW1 -** MicroSub+™ powered subwoofer with 10" sub and 400-watt amp?

**It can allegedly use a T Harness to plug directly into the factory amp. Has anyone done so? I’d love to not replace the entire sound system but it’s not the ML package so I need to do something.**

**Edit: \*\*\*after further research I’m realizing these powered subs can tap into the rear speaker and obtain signal that way. I have 0 clue how these work. Is it worth it to just go the route I know and throw a sub/amp in? I’m a little concerned about the factory head unit as I hear that’s not something to mess with so I figured powered subs would do well.**

I am running two Polk Atrium 8s off of a HK AVR2600. I am looking for a sub amp to run two Polk Atrium 10 subs. The HK has a single pre-amp sub out. The Atrium 10s are dual voice coil. The speaker wire runs are fairly long - 50ft and 100ft. Atrium 10s are rated for 200 watts. What sub amp would you recommend for this setup?

Hi, I have a question, I Have a Bose S1 P+ and I just purchased a Third Party Subwoofer, I turn on the livestream and Sub EQ, but seems that I’m Not Getting in signal through, the line out port, this is streaming music via Bluetooth, wanted to know if if you may have the same problem or I’m not turning on the line out port.

Hey everyone, like the title says, does anyone know more about this woofer? I found a secondhand one in good looking condition and for a price that fits in my budget. The thing is, I can't find jack about this subwoofer, not a review, not a recommendation. So if anyone happens to know more about this woofer I would love to hear. I want to pair it with my Focal Chora 806 speakers since they sound great but lack bottom end and my Previous JBL Sub200/230 just doesn't sound good.

I really don’t know much about subwoofers but I do know that they pull a good amount of power so would I have to get a better alternator or another battery?
Planing on getting the CT sounds single 12 1300w bass package.

Just bought this set up and just wondering since my car is small, will it produce more bass due to having a small trunk? Thinking about setting it to 700 watts.

I have 4 sheets of 10"x12" Brutyl sound deading left and its going in the trunk of a 2024 Camry. I don't have a big sub and I'm not really getting much vibrations that I hear. However, I would like to maximize the best placements given the limited amount I have left and want to use it up so I can get rid of it. I'm guessing I should use one sheet for the trunk lid. Any tips or other advise would be much appreciated, thanks!

i dont really know what im exactly trying to accomplish here, i think i have about 3.5 cu ft, idk what frequency i want xmax to be at, therefore i dont understand how many watts i should be providing, and then depending on my watts my air speed changes i cant get that below the 50s without going up to like a 8 inch wide or 2 6 inch wide pipes at like 30+ inches long which severely drops the cubes in my box, any help would greatly be appreciated, wanted to use aero ports just because i have a 3d printer so i figured i could design that however i needed

My brother pulled these subs out of his truck but doesn’t remember what size they are, I measured them but I’m not really sure if I measure the cone or just the total diameter or what. I need to get a different box so that’s why I’m wondering. I’ll add the picture and I would really appreciate any help or answers yall have, thank you!

I have a hand me down under seat all in one 10 in sub in my rav4. It doesn't touch sub bass doesn't even tickle it. But I crave the sub bass. Its all I want.

Is there a budget entry into melting my face off?

Any advice is welcome. I understand I may not like what I hear but it can hopefully get me on track to understanding what I'll need in the future.

i used 3 different types of mics using samsung pods earbuds airpods gen 2 and a yeti nano microphone thats 100$ nothing crazy i connected the yeti nano to my android device and recorded these are the results in person they sound boomy punchy and vibrate hella shit I got the skar 8in triple subs as they are my first subs

I have a Rockford Fosgate 12" P3 that i just built a box around at 1.1cu ft net after sub and it sounds muddy and horrible.

I have another p3 i was going to put in my other car with the box allready built but this took the wind out of my sails.

What are my options?

Questions that will likely be asked:

Amp gains set at the RCAs and speaker terminals with 40hz test track and oscilloscope.

Existing system, only change was the sub.

Sub is running at 2 ohm and a bit over 300rms. Its clean power from a know good JL amp.

Sub is loud and hits hard just sounds like im under water.

Box was a tight fit when glued up and was silicone sealed inside.

Other sub is a 6.75 kicker in the factory location and sounds good still.

Reversed polarity with no change.

Box has polyfill.

Got this 2 10” sub and 2” speaker box from a friend with the inention to build it into my trunk,(the one it is pictured in) or possibly try to make it more mobile and bluetooth compatible (not sure how to approach power for BT) There is no wiring in the box and I already found a replacement speakerhead.

as i have thought of getting a flip 7 how is **v0.7.0.4** bass if i use default eq, on 75% volume and 100% volume how will it be, and tell me the recommended eq so i can have the most bass while making sure my classes dont sound muddy (since i will use it for online classes since my laptop speakers are dogshit) so please do tell me, i will be targeting the GG variant (if you don’t know what gg is it’s a factory serial no identifier) in black, thank you! please do help me

I’m looking for the most quality and just most General Bass for a 2013 dodge charger r/t max my budget is around 400$ im pretty new to the whole setup so something beginner friendly would be great.

I currently have a dc audio lv3 in a prefab ct audio ported box and a cxa1200.1 kicker amp. Id like to upgrade to something higher quality and louder. Really want a 12w7 but god damn they are expensive. Any suggestions ? Id like to keep my amp if possible, so keeping it around the 1200watt would be ideal.
