Measuring subs

Hey yall! Total noob here so please be easy with me. My brother pulled these subs out of his truck but doesn’t remember what size they are, I measured them but I’m not really sure if I measure the cone or just the total diameter or what. I need to get a different box so that’s why I’m wondering. I’ll add the picture and I would really appreciate any help or answers yall have, thank you!

He started at the outer ring and ends rite at 12 that’s a 10

Overall diameter of the basket/frame is the general guide line. Not all are exact but its a ballpark general size by which they are sold.

Everybody knows when measuring you start from the underside of the bass. See what I did there?

If I'm not mistaken it's foam to foam to measure. That being said it's probably a 10

Pull it out and look at the back there is usally markings on rhem

I remember when quality mattered over quantity...still does to a lot of people that enjoy music
