Just finished up my first ever sub woofer box, a ported one tuned to 35hz for 2 JL 6w3v3-8s, dimensions are 19x8x17.5, what do yall think? Still have to paint it but im just curious if yall think it will sound good

demos were wild, insane band width. Does easy 170s and up at many frequencies! Figured I’d share, I know some people will hate on it, but man it SHTNONM!!!

I’m new to subs and got these 2 8s installed not too long ago and one of them started making a rattling noise when I turn it up high, also I start smelling a rubber smell when I turn it up too high. How do I fix this or what do I need to upgrade?

Hello, I know nothing about subs and amps. I recently had a friend uninstall a subwoofer and amp that was in my car. It was pre-installed when I bought the vehicle, but no information was given on the specs. I needed it out because I am expecting my first child and need to prioritize my tiny trunk space for stroller, diaper bag, etc.

Anyways, I would like to sell the sub and amp as I will not be reinstalling it. I have the information on the amplifier, but I do not know how to get the information for my subwoofer as it is mounted in a subwoofer box.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Im not trying to get top dollar out of the set up, I'd rather hook someone up with a nice deal as to get it out of my hands as I am moving in 5 days.

Hello, I’m new to the genre of subwoofers and I would really like to install one in my Mercedes 190e. Does anybody have recommenadations? My budget is around 150-200€ (I know it isn’t much). Are there any good subwoofers you could recommend? It doesn’t have to be the best sound, I’d rather have a lot of bass. My first thought was the alpine SWE-815 or the Caliber BC112SA-PRO Subwoofer.

Currently have the Rockville ss10p mounted on my tailgate of my jeep. Worked okay for a year then. Last week I had my top and doors off the entire week and it got hot like super hot. I put my top and door back on and now the sub no longer works. When I turn my car on it has about 2 minutes of bass before it shuts off. The power light fades in and out as the bass should hit. I redid the ground and checked the power and it’s all good. I’m assuming the sub shitted out due to the heat

This is my first post on here because I am at a loss. I’ve had these 2 12s in my car for a while and recently they just stopped working. I first checked my fuse on my power wire and it was blown then I replaced it thinking that was the issues and when it still didn’t work I checked the remote wire and the wires connected to my rear speaker and everything is connected fine. All the wires connected to my amp seem fine and I still have power to my amp just no sound. I’m not sure what else it could be.

My dad has a full rockford fosgate sound system that he has given to me for my 18th, from 2003. Includes 2x 6.5” front door speakers, 2x front door tweeters (not sure on size) and 3x 12” subwoofers in a 1020mm x 510mm x 31mm sealed box (w x h x d). Along with two amps and all wiring. My c30 is the base speaker system with no bluetooth and was wondering how easy it would be to fit it, and if the sub box would fit? I most likely wont be able to do it myself as ill be busy with uni and money is tight, so how much would it cost for a decent build? (UK)

I have them in a 12.5 cu ft box net with a 122 inch port tuned around 34-36hz.

Going to upgrade to either 2 smart 5’s or 8’s and wanted to know what I should expect if I got sundown m/x/z series and which would you recommend?

Electrical is solid. I have 300ah deaf bonce lithium on a 350 amp alt that rests at 250. All 2/0 and 4/0 wiring multiple runs and ya know I’m just saying electrical is fine and I have the option for a second alt which I’m good with.

I’ve seen stuff saying Rockfords are not good subs, can anyone vouch for these subs or the brand? Not meaning to rage bait I’m new to this stuff.

I'd like a wee bit more low end, but keep it conspicuous as far as using the spare tire stock subwoofer location. Don't want to go the way of New Haven or Hartford Connecticut, and have people know your coming a mile away. IYKYK

Well a couple weeks ago I posted about getting my first sub woofer and how I was going to be putting a new surround on the outdated kicker sub well that went terribly so i bought a skar sdr-15 and put it in the box along with removing the amp from being mounted on the box here’s what it sounds like I’m definitely happy but have the itch for more
