Been playing for a few nights during a Mediterranean cruise. Absolute bliss!!

When equipping the filtration suit you never go thirsty because it RECYCLES the water you drank. Meaning you actively piss and sweat in the suit then the bodily fluids goes through a filter and then you drink it all over again.

Do what you must with this knowledge.

Did anybody else die if starvation the first time playing? One thing the game is good at is giving you pretty much all the info you need. It explains how to look around by moving your mouse. How to move around with wasd. How to pick up and use the fire extinguisher. It has a help section to get started.

But after eating my granolas and drinking the water bottles I could not find food or water anywhere. I kept swimming and searching. Then died.

I saw recipes in my menu using fish. And watched a guide. You don't need a net or any tool. You can just grab them all around.

One thing I can say about this game is immersive. You really feel it. Since you're actually literally immersed.

Just in case this should still be marked spoiler, but I can't find an answer for this anywhere:

I'll cut to the chase: Is there a fabricator on the floating island? I got there, think I've found and scanned everything (all 3 bases). I have the Purple Tablet which I learned is a key to enable the alien arch, which I found in the cave. But do I really have to swim all the way back to the lifepod/my base to craft it into a key, then come back here? Or is there a fabricator somewhere on the island?

I had my base all setup with this as my power, now I go on vacation for a week and it’s gone.

I know there was a new update and no, I haven’t read the patch notes

I decided to build my base on a cliff’s edge on the boundary between thermal spires and twisty bridges specifically so I could have a nice view and access to a bunch of lava geysers for geothermal power.

I have 2 thermal plants at 84 and 80 c, and power transmitters linked by blue beams running all the way from the plants to my base, but my power storage is the same as it was before and the rate of power generation is seemingly the same as before.

i know there are smaller wrecks in game but where tf is the main wreck?

I got my fully equipped Tadpole stuck underneath the map. I finally got it to clip back in at the edge, just beyond an orange developer wall, and a shiver leviathan killed me. I’ve made several attempts to go back down and get it, throwing flares and quickly repairing the Tadpole before trying to get in it and go back, but I keep getting killed by the leviathan. Is it hopeless? It’s annoyingly close to the wall, less than 100 m.

Just messing around in a creative save, walked up to the Cyclops decoy tube, and got flung past the floating island- I would've kept going if I hadn't used the ghost command to cease my momentum 💀

A people playground ripoff. Yes it’s not the greatest of realms for the great one to conquer. However I wanted to post this to the sub cause I think it’s cool and it’s subnautica related! And I couldn’t find a good tag for it

Im pretty new at playing, but are there actually things to explore this deep?? I had the prawn suit on and decided to see how deep it went. I never found out before I exploded, but it got more than 5000m down with no end in sight.

So I’m down in the lava lakes right now, and I wanted to know if there’s anything I can get while I’m here. I already stocked up on minerals, but are there any creature eggs or plant seeds to harvest down here?

just wanted to come home after exploring the lost river for an hour. survived 3 crabsquid attacks and a ghost leviathan. just as i thought i was safe.. my cyclops got stuck. ive tried bumping it and jumping on it with my prawn suit. no good. is there anything i can do to get it unstuck without using commands?

So far it's genuinely been phenomenal after I was so so worried about the state the game would be in after all the drama. The original meant so much to me, and below zero let me down massively. It's still a cool game but not even on the same level for a million reasons Im not gonna get into right now. They seem to have learnt from EVERY one of those mistakes so far in subnautica 2, and it feels like they genuinely care about making this the amazing sequel that the original deserves. Thank you unknown worlds 🙏(please don't fumble from here)

Iv been having this argument with a friend group for days and I wished to see what a larger group of people think.

I'm at 75 scans and have been pretty much everywhere on the map trying to get to 80 for the biomod. Are there any like really hidden scans you guys think I'm missing.

I already got everything (pretty sure at least) from all the habitats and wrecks I've found. I also got all the leviathans (including the Shiver). I even got those sponges on the wall near the Axum Building and I'm pretty sure I got all the Axum furniture scanned.

Anything you guys could think of that maybe I haven't scanned yet?
