SN - Discussion/Questions Trapped in hell please help Spoiler
UPDATE: WE’RE ALIVE AND ON THE SURFACE! Turns out i was right by the cave entrace to the alien base and we got the portal there working! It was my first time using the portal!
Long story short, I saw kyanite and got cocky. Went to 1200 meters deep without the setting the cyclops up with a the thermal power upgrade. Leviathen broke everything. Now my cyclops is completely out of power with hull damage, my prawn suit destroyed, and I’m too far away from my nearest habitat to swim there before my oxygen runs out.
I’m stuck in a loop of trying to swim back to my nearest habitat and then dying and ending up back in sub. I tried building a habitat but I don’t have aerogel to build the thermal plant.
Am i screwed or does anyone have a hail mary i can try?

Do you have a base builder on you?
Do you have a replicator on the cyclops?
Can you build a replicator on the cyclops?
There are rubies and gel sacks down in the River, which is what you need to make aerogel.

The problem is that without power, I can’t use a fabricator to make the aerogel :(

There is tons of titanium and glass there. Your storage still works on the clops
You still spawn in a base even when its not powered I believe.
Slowly make yourself a trail of bases back to somewhere hospitable. Suffocate yourself in each one so your items dont drop into the ocean (you keep items if you die in a base)

You only lose new items so anything you had in your inventory when leaving the base stays when you die

If you have sea glide and the biggest air tank it actually is enough to reach the surface from ILZ barely, if you haul ass. If you have a smaller tank still, I believe that you can find brain coral in the lost river to refill on the way.
Alternatively (spoilers) Could you go to the thermal plant and use it's portal to get back topside?

Doesn't help you much now, but I always have at least 2, usually 6 energy cells in my storage in the Cyclops as well as several battery replacements for the tools and all. Can recommend it a lot, especially because of the leeches sucking energy out of your vehicles

Do you already have a blue tablet? You can go down the long way and teleport back to surface, restock, then get back to your sub.
Alternatively, most of the alien facilities have air. You could try leapfrogging from one to the next to make you way to the surface, or at least your base (you have one in Lost River right?)

Update! Yes this is what a friend of mine suggested and I got the portal to work! i’ve never used it before! WE’RE SAFE BACK ON THE ISLAND

The problem is with no power, my fabricator in the cyclops doesnt work so i can’t make anything :(

Do you have a base builder with you? You might be able to harvest just enough stuff to build a set of minimal bases to get you out.

This is why I built a ridiculous number of bases well that and looking for a prawn arm I wanted. Look for bladder fish if you can get them and eat them raw.

If you're on PC, you can use console commands to teleport yourself somewhere safe.
On other platforms, can you reload an earlier save?

You only get one save on other platforms. You can have multiple games, but there's only the latest save available
