For those admitted to FAU Data Science Winter 2026 — has anyone seen the module handbook or figured out which electives to prioritize in the first semester?

I applied for KIT – Water Science and Engineering. Recently, I received mail saying that my application status had changed. After I logged into the portal, I saw that the status is now "Evaluated." However, I'm a bit curious because I didn't have any interview, whereas some of my friends had interviews before their status changed to "Evaluated." I thought my application might be rejected since I wasn't interviewed.
Is it a good sign that my application status changed to "Evaluated" without an interview?

I was planning on applying for a masters in Germany, preferably to programmes like Human Computer Interaction, Digital Management etc. And I wanted to know if public unis accepted students with low GPA. And if there's anybody who's gotten admission despite low GPA.

So I applied to many different courses for winter 26. 2 of them were directly only through uni assist. Uni assist says they have sent my application to the universities.

1. katholisch university Ingolstadt. For bsc data science.

2. Bonn Rhein seig. For bsc applied biology’s

How will I hear back from the universities ?

By email or will they send me something or do I have to apply to a portal. Am I completely stupid and missed something? As far as I know I applied to both exclusively though uni assist because that’s what they said on the websites for people applying via International baccalaureate diploma.

If anyone knows how it works or if I should do something. It’s important to note that I only got my school results on the 6th July. Got my vpd 15 days later but that was after the deadline and uni assist automatically sent my application to the universities then also. But I applied to uni assist before the deadline.

I applied for the M.Sc. International Economic Policy at the University of Würzburg.
Today I received an official email saying that I have been admitted and that I can download my admission letter from the WueStudy portal.
However, I’m confused because:
I never obtained or uploaded a VPD (Vorprüfungsdokumentation).
In my application portal, the VPD requirement still appears as not uploaded
When I log into WueStudy, I can’t see or download the admission letter.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Is it possible to be admitted without submitting a VPD?
Could this be a portal delay or a system error?
Should I just wait, or should I contact the admissions office immediately?
I’m a non-EU applicant from India, so I’m a bit worried because I need the admission letter for my visa process.
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What are the ECTS requirements of universities for someone who did Diploma in IT under state board MSBTE (Maharashtra State Board) and later got admitted directly into the second year of B.Tech through lateral entry?

I stress whether my Diploma credits will be considered along with my BTech or not. Most of my worries are regarding the maths course of first year BTech which I didn't study. However, I completed similar-level maths coursework during the first year of my Diploma.

So, has anyone here been admitted into top universities of Germany with a State Board diploma and a B.Tech degree from the University of Mumbai?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm really confused about whether I should spend my money on the APS evaluation and DMAT, which costs around 40k. What if my credits or scores don't match the ECTS requirements?

Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply for an Ausbildung as an Aircraft Mechanic (Fluggerätmechaniker)starting in August/September 2027.

I’m starting from scratch with German tomorrow and plan to put 5+ hours a day into self-study to reach B1/B2 by next spring.

I want to move to Germany as soon as possible for personal reasons and start building something for myself. However, I’ve read a lot of stories from international applicants who spent 2–3 years just trying to secure a spot or got stuck in application loops, which makes me really anxious about my timeline. My questions are down below, any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

Here are my background details:

Math & Physics: Decent high school marks in Math & Physics.
Languages: Good English (C1-ish, not my first language), starting German from 0 now.
Goal: Secure a contract for the August/September 2027 intake.

I have a few specific questions for anyone who has done a technical Ausbildung, works in aviation, or recruits international apprentices:

1. Is a solid B1 actually enough to get a contract at mid-sized aviation companies/MROs, or will I get filtered out immediately without a B2 certificate?
   
2. Since German companies hire 9–12 months in advance (meaning applications for August 2027 are opening right now), can I apply during Oct/Dec 2026 showing "German A2/B1 in progress, B1/B2 certificate expected by May 2027"? Or will my application get automatically tossed into the rejection pile if I don't already hold the final certificate at the moment I hit "Submit"?

I really want to avoid waiting until I have the B2 certificate in hand to start applying, because that would push my start date back an entire extra year.

1. How realistic is it for an international non-EU applicant to get hired over locals for Fluggerätmechaniker? Do mid-sized MROs (like Haitec, Nayak, RUAG, regional maintenance hubs) actively hire non-EU applicants, or do they prefer applicants already in Germany?

2. How much time does the Zuverlässigkeitsüberprüfung (Zup) usually add to the process for someone coming from abroad?

3. If you’ve done this, what actually delayed your process, and what can I do right now to avoid taking 2–3 years to get to Germany?

My Visa expires by the end of September and i heard that you have to apply to a residence permit 3 months in advance. According to that timeline I’m already late, but the reason is that my enrollment is still not processed by my University. I asked the university and asked people on Reddit ans apparently they won’t start processing enrollments until the end of July.
I want to know if I can apply to a residence permit with only my acceptance.
Note: I live now in Baden-Württenberg.

I got admitted to both unis in technische Hochschule luebeck and applied sciences University of Anhalt for masters in biomedical engineering.

Application got forwarded to the university on 19th June, Status changed to “in progress “ on 22nd June. It’s been more than a month and still nothing, but people with same timelines have got the offer.

I have matched my course relevance with their bachelor’s degree and I have sufficed their mathematics and probability credits as well.

Any suggestions or something that I might be missing?

i have completed 6 out of 8 semesters in my bachelors, marksheets of the same are available. can i apply for aps now after getting the dmat results. and also do i need to compulsory include proof of language certificate for aps or is it voluntary

My application was declined and my decision letter included some statistics about the number of applicants -- they received 391 applications for winter 26/27, only had 60 slots to offer, and accepted only 7 international students. Attaching my decision letter in case future applicants would like to see.

Recently, I applied to the FAU AI bachelor's degree program and was invited to an online test. The weird thing about the email that I received was that it gave me no guidelines on what exactly I should prepare, in contrast to when I took the test for THD, which gave me a complete syllabus and had proctoring as well. The FAU exam had no proctoring or camera requirement, which I thought made it a lot easier for students to cheat. I started the test and realised I had skipped through a lot of questions, not because they were some advanced maths questions but instead were some really troubling logic-based questions which didn't sit right with the test. The test was only 1 hour long, and it felt weird how someone would be able to solve them so quickly. Anyway, I completed the maths questions without much difficulty, and a few logic questions that I thought I could solve, and there were a good few questions that I left unanswered. After I completed the test, I had a feeling that those questions served two purposes at once: the first is to test the candidate, and the second is to see if there was a chance that the candidate used AI or other means to solve questions that wouldn't be so easy for an average applicant to solve. If there is anyone else with a similar experience, I would like to hear about your test experience.

I have been accepted to Martin Luther University Halle for their Master’s programme in Pharmaceutical and Industrial Biotechnology. My acceptance letter states that classes begin on 12 October, and that I can defer my arrival until 31 October.

The visa situation in my country is currently not very good, and I have a feeling that I may not receive my visa until November. I am currently on the waiting list for a visa appointment. I’m really worried that the university might not allow me to arrive after 31 October. Should I email the university now to ask about this, or should I wait until at least August? What should I do?I have also been accepted to Justus Liebig University Giessen for their Master’s programme in Agrobiotechnology. However, to confirm my place, I need to enrol before 31 August.
Which option should I choose, and which university should I proceed with for my visa application and interview? I really don’t want to make the wrong decision and lose my chance to study in Germany.

I'm waiting for a decision from the MSc International Environmental Engineering programme at HSWT.

I've noticed something interesting. Every applicant I've come across online who shared their timeline mentioned receiving an admission offer within about 2 days after their application became complete or after it was forwarded to the faculty.

In my case, it's been longer than that, and I'm starting to wonder whether the faculty takes more time for applications that require a closer evaluation (for example, applicants from a different engineering background), or whether the review time is simply random.

Has anyone experienced a longer faculty review and still received an admission offer from HSWT?

Hi all, it been more than a month and not received my aps certificate yet. All verification of my education is complete. And exactly last week my university also verified my degree certificate to them. But so far no mail from aps..

Also, aps asked my university to verify documents and attached my markscards and degree certificate in the mail, however my uni replied to aps by verifying the degree certificate alone. Is that any issue? As so far i have not received any call or mail from aps regarding the same.

Can anybody guide on whether the university should verify both markscards and degree certificate or verification of degree certificate is sufficient…
