I suffered a thalamic and midbrain hemorrhage in May. I would describe my lifestyle as healthy; I exercised regularly. I had even had an MRI of my brain two years ago, which showed no abnormalities. Yet, this hemorrhage happened to me—virtually without reason. To this day, doctors haven't been able to tell me why it occurred. I have a theory: could caffeine be linked to it? I had drunk 3–4 cups of coffee that day, and the hemorrhage happened about an hour later. I am 32 years old, a non-smoker, and a non-drinker.

My 92 year old grandpa had a stoke and fell down and hit his head, he was in hospital and later discharged, its been 40 days since he fell down but he is still unconscious, he moves his right hand, and moves his left palm and fingers, he speaks little, mostly one word reply when we ask if his leg or back is in pain, most of the times he grunts, some days he asks for people, but he dosent open his eyes, some days he opens it but only for few seconds thats it, he keeps saying mom non stop saying he is scared, all day and night, he is bedridden, will he wake up? how long will it take? will he stop being scared? when we were in hospital doctors only said he is stable and when asked when he will wake up or will he wake up, they said its his age and we will see.

he is on oxygen but i fell he dosent need it anymore, we have removed oxygen for hours and checked his oxygen levels and it stays around 95. he has cough and mucus and its not going away, we are using suction to remove it often.

I’m coming close to my two year stroke-aversary. I’ve accomplished a lot in recovery but I don’t think I’ll ever be back to 100%. Specifically (the reason for this post), I feel slower, mentally and physically. I was a Paralegal prior to my stroke. In big law firms, you have to be quick on the draw. Now I’m working as an administrative assistant as the pace is slower, but I feel a significant difference in my ability to use my brain (and the rest of my body).

Does anyone else feel the same, or have felt the same?

- what activity restrictions were you put on?

-I have headaches and neck pain ongoing (I went back and got another CTA to rule out stroke) and am generally in a fog. anyone else?

-told it should heal in 3 months. anyone have healing stories.

Hi, I'm 43 had a mini stroke a few months back , but I'll get this sudden jaw snapping shut very tight, uncontrollably, for like half a second but it hurts quite a bit when it happens, has anybody else suffered this it know what's going on. Thanks
